Mass protests in Serbia against corruption đ„
Was sagt ihr dazu?

The largest anti-government protests in recent decades are taking place in Belgrade, Serbia right now, with hundreds of thousands of people reportedly arriving in Belgrade. Protests have been taking place in Serbia for months, led by students against corruption and the Vucic system.
The protests were triggered by the collapse of a newly renovated train station roof in Novi Sad in November 2024, in which 15 people lost their lives.
This is indicative of the corruption in the country, which I also know from other Eastern European countries.
The collapse of the newly renovated train station was the straw that broke the camel's back.
The protests have been going on for months and have reached a temporary peak today. The slogan is âPumpajâ, which means pump, pump it up, creating pressure against the corrupt system. There were also fears of violent provocations by supporters close to Vucic.
What do you think? Do you think such mass protests can make a difference? How can Serbia come out of the crisis?

Thats probably the largest protest ive ever seen!
Is that fire? That crowd must be suffocated I. There.
I think this big mass protests can make a difference in changing the wrong doings of the government
That is a lot of people, hopefully things get better there
I think the protests can make a difference if they are not violent. The pressure can add up and it can at least force them to make some changes.

If the government truly cares to its people, they have to make changes on their system
The students' movement is not failing, the general public will also join this movement. I think their movement will be successful.
Lets hope the can overthrow Vucic and go a more democratic way đ
