How to avoid shipping fees on Amazon even if you don't have Amazon Prime

So könnt ihr die Versandkosten auf Amazon einsparen, selbst wenn man kein Amazon Prime hat.

Die folgenden Infos gelten für Österreich und Deutschland, denke aber, dass es in anderen Ländern ähnliche Konditionen bei Amazon geben wird.

3 Möglichkeiten, die Versandkosten bei Amazon einzusparen

(1) Amazon Prime verwenden

Die einfachste Möglichkeit die Versandkosten bei Amazon zu umgehen, ist natürlich sich bei Amazon Prime anzumelden. Für Euro 8,99 bekommt man nicht nur kostenlose Lieferungen (von Amazon), sondern kann auch das Video- und Musik-Angebot von Amazon Prime nutzen, das ähnlich wie Netflix funktioniert.

(2) Kostenlose Lieferung ab 39 Euro Bestellwert

Die nächste Möglichkeit ist, wenn man kein Amazon Prime hat, einfach etwas über 39 Euro bestellen. Das können auch mehrere Produkte sein, die in Summe über 39 kosten. Weiters muss man darauf achten, dass man Produkte bestellt, die von Amazon geliefert werden, da bei Drittanbietern eigene Versandkosten anfallen können.

(3) Kostenlose Lieferung ohne Amazon Prime und ohne Mindestbestellwert

Die dritte Möglichkeit ist die, die ich am meisten nutze. Und zwar kann man sich die Versandkosten auch bei kleinen Lieferungen ersparen, wenn man sich die Pakete zu einer Amazon-Abholstation oder zu einer Wunsch-Postfiliale zuschicken lässt. Das ist genial.

Dazu fügt man eine neue Lieferadresse bei Amazon ein (Mein Konto > Adressen > Adresse hinzufügen > "Oder suche einen Amazon-Abholort in deiner Nähe" anklicken).

Danach kann man sich auf der Karte eine Abholstation oder eine Postfiliale auswählen, zu der die Pakete geschickt werden.

Verwende meistens eine Wunsch-Postfiliale und das hat bis jetzt immer super geklappt. Man bekommt bei der Lieferung ein E-Mail und kann dann mit der E-Mail und Ausweis die Sendung einfach abholen.

3 ways to save shipping costs on Amazon

(1) Use Amazon Prime

The easiest way to avoid the shipping costs at Amazon is of course to sign up for Amazon Prime. For Euro 8.99, you not only get free delivery (from Amazon), but you can also take advantage of Amazon Prime's video and music offerings, which work similar to Netflix.

(2) Free delivery orders above EUR 39

The next option is, if you do not have Amazon Prime, simply order something over 39 euros. This can also be several products that cost in total over 39. Furthermore, you have to make sure that you order products that are delivered by Amazon, because third party suppliers can have their own shipping costs.

(3) Free delivery without Amazon Prime and without minimum order value

The third option is the one I use the most. And that is, you can save on shipping costs, even for small deliveries, by having your packages shipped to an Amazon pickup location or to a post office of your choice. That's awesome.

To do this, you add a new delivery address on Amazon (My Account > Addresses > Add Address > click "Or find an Amazon pickup location near you").

After that, you can choose a pickup location or a post office on the map to send the packages to.

I usually use a post office near me and so far it has always worked great. You get an e-mail when the delivery arrives and can then simply pick it up with the e-mail and ID.

Ah das mit der Abholung ist sehr gut zu wissen, danke!
Da ich eh nur noch selten was bestelle hab ich schon überlegt ob sich Prime überhaupt noch lohnt.

Bei Prime hätte man auch das Videoangebot, das wäre eine Überlegung wert, aber im Moment genügt mir Netflix eigentlich.

Pretty smart ways around shipping costs there! I use Prime here in the US because no only do I get free delivery but Amazon Prime Video which has some great content to watch. My biggest complaint though is that they used to deliver in two days here in the US, now it shows up when it shows up. When Bezos left that went away with him.

Dann bist du aber mit Schuld, das bald eventuell Retourin nicht mehr kostenlos sind.

Normalerweise müsste Amazon das aber dann auch so handhaben, das dann Portokosten anfallen und man weniger erstattet bekommt, weil man ja die dann hätte bezahlen müssen.

Es lohnt oft die Suche nach Produkt weitab von Amazon. Doch, wie in meinem Fall, die Auslieferung eines Autorenexemplars nach Kroatien verweigert wird, die aber mit einer Prime-Mitgliedschaft eventuell möglich sein könnte, dann schließen sich bei mir alle Schotten.
Amazon ist ein Vielfraß, der lediglich durch reduzierte Nahrungszufuhr ein fairer Partner bleiben wird..

I'm using Amazon Prime for both online shopping (to avail of free shipping) and for watching movies and series on Prime Video. However, I'm researching other ways to avoid shipping costs, and I came across the following information on Amazon's website.

In Amazon Mexico, orders of $299 or more that contain products shipped by Amazon Mexico may qualify for free shipping. To obtain it, you should add at least $299 worth of eligible products to your cart, select a shipping address in Mexico, choose to group the items into the fewest shipments possible, and select "FREE Shipping" as your shipping speed when confirming the order.

Yeah the pickup option is very interesting especially when the delivery by post is not reliable and that you have to go the post office to get your parcel anyways.

One tip is that you can get a free month of amazon prime per year I think. I use that from time to time when I am in a rush for things and I don't want to worry as much. I use number 3 often too.

Ich bestelle sehr selten und da ich viel unterwegs bin nutze ich die dritte Alternative ;) Das doofe wie du auch richtigerweise erwähnt hast oben ist, dass die Lieferkosten nur bei der Ware die über Amazon distribuiert wird, entfällt. Für Drittanbieter fallen trotzdem Kosten an, unabhängig davon wo man die Produkte liefern lässt.

Good recommendation on savings for shipping and shopping on Amazon.
I find the third option the best of the three.
