Um Waldbrände in Wien zu vermeiden, gibt es eine temporäre Vorordnung, die das Rauchen und das "Hantieren mit offenem Feuer und Licht" in Wäldern und Parks verbietet.

Habe diesen Hinweis heute zufällig entdeckt.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Wusstet ihr, dass auch Rauchen im Wald verboten ist? Waldbrände können bei sehr großer Hitze im Hochsommer schon durch eine weggeworfene Zigarette entstehen, aber auch durch Blitze.

Das Rauchen, das Hantieren mit offenem Feuer und Licht sowie jegliche Feuerentzündung im Wald und in dessen Gefährdungsbereich sind im Gebiet der Stadt Wien verboten.

i agree with that. it is better to banned smoking cigarette in the forest than wait for some forest fire to happen before taking action.

A discarded water bottle can also cause a forest fire. Plastic or glass, it can act like a lens in the sun. Trees can also rub against each other in the wind. Or just drive your car into the tall dry grass at the edge of the forest. I certainly haven't mentioned all the ways to inadvertently set a forest on fire.
It has been raining in the Czech Republic since this morning.

If you are stupid enough to start a fire maybe you shouldn't be smoking in the first place... Just saying! Forests over here often have regulations on fires as well due to high fire risks.

I think that it is safer if there is no smoking allowed, but I still think proper forest management is needed. It only lowers the risk but it doesn't solve the issue.
