Google now shows you the balance if you search for a Bitcoin address

Google now shows you the balance of a Bitcoin address when you search for a Bitcoin address.
Newer Bech32 addresses starting with bc1 are supported, as well as the classic P2PKH and P2SH formats.
It's a cool feature, but you should bear in mind that Google will then know which addresses you have searched for.
In 2020, Google was convicted of secretly collecting data even in incognito mode.
You should therefore take the new feature with a grain of salt, but it's still a cool thing. Incidentally, this is not yet possible with Bing. It will be interesting to see if they follow suit.
What do you think about the fact that Google is now indexing Bitcoin addresses?

Finde ich ziemlich bedenklich ☹️
It would be nice indeed.
The balance of any Bitcoin address can be viewed
I don't think it's cool, I wouldn't want google to intrude in my privacy.
That's very cool, good to know, might come in handy for some quick research :)
This is why privacy coins are necessary.
This is a convenient thing.

Oha!
I think it's cool that it works. Them collecting your data is still the same.
Never share anything with Google, because you can assume if they know it they will gladly sell it to anyone. Especially governments...
On the one hand it shows that crypto is slowly finding its way to the mainstream websites. On the other hand, there's definitely the privacy issue.. :s
Wow
That makes sense
It’s reasonable
Hehehehe.... I guess it's okay but sometimes I have a mixed feeling about it.
The name of your Hive account will soon be entered.
This is a great update
But I felt if what of the person want it to be hidden so as you will not know the amount or balance that person who owns the bitcoin address owns

That's actully pretty wild. Just shows you how much adoption of crypto is happening now.
google clearly infringes on the currency rights of cryptocurrencies
I think it's weird to see but I guess it might be something a lot of people were looking for. Do you have to specify BTC or Bitcoin in the search bar?
It just works by entering the address.
wow, thats neat..
