Even my grocery store is now selling Dubai Chocolate 😄

English

Even grocery stores in Vienna, Austria (Billa Plus, REWE) are now selling Dubai chocolate for 6 euros (2 cake slices). Actually a bargain compared to the expensive Dubai chocolate. Another grocery store in Vienna (Spar, Gumpendorfer Str. 72) produces an even cheaper Dubai chocolate.

And the best thing is, in my opinion, the Dubai cake tastes even better than the expensive Dubai chocolate that I tested.

I expect the price of Dubai chocolate to fall even further in the future, as anyone can make Dubai chocolate. The name and the basic ingredients (pistachio cream with crispy pastry threads) are neither protected by trademark nor copyright (in Austria).

In the same way, anyone can make an even more “original” "Mozartkugel" (Mozart chocolate ball) as long as they do not use the same combination of words as another manufacturer. However, complex word combinations such as the “Echte Salzburger Mozartkugel” can be protected under trademark law in Austria.

Have you already tried a Dubai chocolate? How long do you think the hype will last? Until a chocolate manufacturer produces an inexpensive mass product?

Absolutely overpriced, ingredients must be crap like all industrial stuff, at this price you can buy organic stuff

I have never eaten Dubai chocolate, Dubai cake tastes better than this, so some changes need to be made to Dubai chocolate.

I have never tried it but I think the hype will go away soon. However, I still think stores will sell it because there is going to be some profit to go along with it.

Went on cold turkey (refined) sugar free again for about 2 weeks now, last time I held to it for 3 years, let's hope I get back to it 🙂
