Die Österreichische Nationalbank gibt Geld aus, um die Sicherheitsmerkmale von Bargeld zu bewerben 😂
Eigentlich bewirbt sie nur einen Link, die Anzeige selbst ist inhaltslos.
Unter dem Motto "Im Ausland zahlen? Sicher!" gelangt man auf eine Website, wo die Sicherheitsmerkmale von den Euro-Banknoten beworben werden.
Was denkt ihr? Sinnvolle Werbung? Sollten Zentralbanken dafür Geld ausgeben?

Actually, it only advertises a link, the ad itself is meaningless.
Under the slogan "Pay abroad? Safe!", it takes you to a website where the security features of euro banknotes are advertised.
What do you think? Is this useful advertising? Should central banks spend money this way?

Vielleicht ein Zeichen aufkehrender Ablehnung gegenüber den Banknoten? Immerhin wird ja fieberhaft gegen Kryptowährungen reguliert und die Menschen flüchten zunehmend in Wertanlagen. Aber alles nur Spekulation 😉
It makes me wonder a bit about what the security features are. I like to examine old banknotes as I have access to a banknote collection.

I think it is not effective for banks to advertise like this.
Not a useful campaign in my eyes.... But most government campaigns are wasted money...

I think they should promote cash. It's better than letting everything go digital and letting the banking system control everything.

Vermutlich hatten sie noch Werbebudget übrig, und am schlimmsten für eine Behörde ist, Geld nicht zu nutzen, denn dann ist im nächsten Jahr das Budget kleiner.
Ansonsten ergibt das gar keinen Sinn. Es sei denn, die ÖNB agitiert gezielt gegen die Bargeldabschaffung, da sie befürchtet, dann noch weniger Einfluss zu haben als jetzt schon. Aber das wäre eine VT.

Sometimes, governments just want to pay media houses. May be the ad meant to do this 🤷♀️
Also suspect the later, basically the same with all gov ads, at the end of the day it's some form of corruption and bribing media houses to positively report about the gov.

Trotzdem bin ich auf keinen Fall für Abschaffung von Bargeld, I versuche immer wieder mit Bargeld zu bezahlen denn Wenn es eine Bargeldobergrenze oder ähnliches geben sollte schränkt das unsere Möglichkeiten schon ein, Ok, Crypto könnte dadurch gewinnen aber ich habe gerne die Auswahl was ich verwenden möchte und bekomme nicht gerne vorgeschrieben wie und was ich verwenden soll.
