Memories

source

Some days...
How much your absence torments me,
Eager to spread...
Silence spreads not only in the room,
In every pore of mine

The heavy, lonely mind, like a desolate desert,
It scares me with its hissing sound,
Then each breath,
Like a tired, broken, tired traveler,
It refuses to move;
It sits down,
Under the shadow of your memories

Silent, half-dead, lifeless, gone,
Helpless, orphan, helpless, anxious, restless...
Then something happens,
Under the shadow of your memories...
With those gone, broken breaths; and...
Some life comes into them,
They start moving again - slowly slowly
They pick up speed; Like a traveller
Then you seem to be around,
But you are not visible
But just by the feeling of you near me,
Sadness starts to go away,
Silence starts to shrink;
And suddenly...

The dry desolation,
Fluttering its wings like a bird,
Flies away, hides...,
Far away in the sky here and there
Behind white clouds scattered like cotton balls,
Even more desolate than before...
As if covered in a shroud of clouds
And near me...

From one end to the other, spreads
An ocean of love, of comfort...
Wave after wave, turning.
Swelling, bouncing,
And sometimes mischievously splashing water;
Just like you...
Playful, mischievous, oozing love,
Its lively, watery, life-giving...
The synonym of happiness...
This 'oceanic feeling' of being near you absorbs my sadness, and...
Then I become,
a part of it, a wave

Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day ☺️ 🙏 @vikbuddy

This was really nice to read. I liked how you described missing someone but still feeling their presence in little ways. The flow was smooth and calming. It made me feel peaceful somehow. Great job sharing your feelings in such a simple and lovely way!
