Humanity
Between compassion and logic there is an invisible bridge
It is not defined in any scripture,
nor in any dictionary
but it is visible in the moisture of a starving eye
When silence echoes as an undeniable truth above every religion, every nation
I wonder do borders merely divide land,
or do they break the silence that accepts suffering without translation?
We chose the difficult path of development, convenience, technology and a dazzling civilization.
But we forgot how to sow the seeds of humanity.
Neither religion nor the Constitution,
nor all the achievements of science
because we have not learned to renounce
the authority of logic.
Humanity is not a preamble,
not a veneration,
but rather the practice
of accepting the existence of another,
including their disagreement.
If you can fearlessly allow a different path
to live with its freedom then you have learned
the most difficult lesson of being human.
When you can accept the dignity of the weak, with its hesitation
then you are on the first step of humanity.
That moment, when, seeing someone falling at a crossroads, you ask "Are you okay?"
and, without waiting for an answer,
are willing to listen that is where humanity begins
If you can abandon the pride of your own language and find meaning in another's language
then you have climbed the steepest ladder of humanity
Now I, too, am learning how to enter a soul and return without changing it, without breaking it
Perhaps one day I will be able to become human, when I learn to accept
without asking for an answer
Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day 😊🙏 @vikbuddy
