NO LONGER AT EASE: MINDSET AND SYSTEM ARE TOOLS TARGETED AT MAKING PEOPLE POOR
When a greater part of the population is becoming poorer by the day, then it's no longer a mindset problem but that of the system. The sociopolitical system can fight a group of people and keep them small till the end of their lives on earth. Most times this systemic issue is deliberate. The government of the day uses it as a tool to control the wishes of the people. For example; they know that when their citizens are rich they will be independent in thought and decision or probably they might stand against the government therefore to still be able to manoeuvre them to do the wishes of the government they must remain poor so that whenever a substance is given to them, their mindsets can be bought.
This is a necessary evil that is going on in many nations of the world. In countries with no job opportunities, the greater populations are young school leavers. The few jobs are reserved for a few opportune individuals.
On the other hand, mindset is another enemy that makes people poor. The Bible says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. There is no two ways about it. Many poor people are a result of what they conceive in their minds. Some of them do not have the mind to handle wealth; they see wealth as a distraction, hence they are comfortable in their place of lack.
One of the mindsets that I have come to realise makes people poor is fear. Fear is against progress. Fear is what limits lots of people. A man who sees a job opportunity, for example, will be afraid to apply because he thinks that he is not qualified for it. Meanwhile, the other person even without the necessary qualification, decides to apply for the job. Such a person stands a chance of getting the job.
Mindset problem is when a fraction of individuals are poor as opposed to a greater population of people in a political system. In essence, a bad system affects the majority of people, while the mindset can be a result of culture. Some set of people sees themselves as servants while other sees themselves as leaders. It becomes very difficult to break out of a cultural mindset that abhors wealth. This is because everything around you is holding you bound. Meanwhile, systemic limitations can be easily surmounted, especially when good governance is put in place.
In all of this, a person has a role to play in getting his/herself out of any limitations that cause a lack. It begins with having an understanding of who you are and then positioning yourself for greatness. This covers skills acquisition and healthy relationships.
