Today I am going to share with you the rest of the process and of course the final result of the ramp I was making in the porch of my house so my daughter could get on her moped, which is the same size of a conventional motorcycle. As I told you in the previous post I don't have much knowledge about it, so I let myself be advised by the mason who was in charge of the remodeling of our bathroom. Also in the previous post I showed you how was the process of destroying the stairs that were there and the construction of the mesh that would be the support.
Hoy voy a compartir con ustedes el resto del proceso y desde luego el resultado final de como quedó la rampa que estuve haciendo en el porche de mi casa para que mi hija pudiese subir su bicimoto, la cuál es del mismo tamaño de una moto convencional. Como les dije en el post anterior yo no tengo demasiados conocimientos al respecto, así que me dejé asesorar por el albañil que se encargó de la remodelación de nuestro baño. También en el post anterior yo les mostré a ustedes como fue el proceso de destruir las escaleras que estaban y la construcción de la malla que sería el soporte.

En esta ocasión con todo listo yo preparé una mezcla de cemento, arena y piedras, pero con un buen porcentaje de piedras para darle mayor solidez a la estructura, tal como me dijeron, y posteriormente vertí todo esto sobre la malla que yo había puesto previamente..

It's hard work, so from time to time I sat down to rest a little, and yes, it is very important to hydrate well by drinking plenty of water, especially when the sun begins to shine brightly.
Es un trabajo pesado, así que de vez en cuando me sentaba a descansar un poco, y eso sí, es importantísimo hidratarse bien tomando mucha agua, sobre todo cuando el sol empieza a brillar con intensidad.
Of course I couldn't miss the usual supervision of my wife @carmen1659 haha although I have to admit that she helped me a lot.
Por supuesto no podía faltar la acostumbrada supervisión de mi esposa @carmen1659 jaja aunque he de reconocer que me ayudó mucho.
Then I prepared another mixture but this time it had more sand than cement because it would be the covering, that is, the top part, which should be softer and smoother than the previous one.
Después preparé otra mezcla pero en esta ocasión llevaba más arena que cemento pues sería la cobertura, osea la parte de arriba que debe ser más suave y lisa que la anterior.

I then carefully smoothed out the surface to make it neater and give it a better appearance. For this step I used a masonry brush. I would pour the mixture with a masonry trowel and then smooth the surface with the other tool. These tools are very necessary and useful to provide a better finish to the project.
Después me dediqué con mucho cuidado a suavizar la superficie para dejarla más prolija y hacer que tuviera una mejor apariencia. Para este paso usé un cepillo de albañilería. Yo iba echando la mezcla con una espátula de albañilería y luego alisaba la superficie con la otra herramienta. Estas herramientas son muy necesarias y útiles para ofrecer un mejor acabado al proyecto.

In this part at the end, right where the sidewalk is, to prevent water from stagnating when it rains, which would become a problem we don't have, I incorporated a thick PVC pipe cut to size, then poured cement over it and smoothed the surface again. This way the water will be able to run freely without stagnating and causing problems. I also placed some blocks and wooden boards as a guide and containment on the ramp to prevent the cement from spreading and getting out of control.
En esta parte del final, justo donde está la acera de la calle, para evitar que el agua se estanque cuando llueva, lo cuál se convertiría en un problema que no tenemos, incorporé un tuvo grueso de PVC cortado a la medida, luego vertí cemento encima y volví a alisar la superficie. De esta manera el agua podrá correr libremente sin estancarse y provocar problemas. También coloqué algunos bloques y tablas de madera a modo de guía y contención en la rampa para evitar que el cemento se esparramara y se saliera de control.

Last but not least I drew some veins on the surface of the fresh concrete using a sweeping brush, this is to give the surface a good grip. The ramp was left with an important height and inclination but I couldn't do anything about it since the house itself is very high.
Por último pero no menos importante dibujé unas vetas en la superficie del cemento fresco usando un cepillo de barrer, esto es para que la superficie tenga un buen agarre. La rampa quedó con una altura e inclinación importantes pero yo no podía hacer nada al respecto ya que la casa en sí está muy alta.

That day it rained worse, thank God it rained in the afternoon and I had finished the project in the morning, so the intense sun did its job and by the time it started to rain the cement was already very solid. These pictures are from the next day when everything was already very dry as far as the cement is concerned, it looks wet but that's because it has been raining a lot lately.
Ese día llovió peor gracias a Dios que llovió por la tarde y yo había concluido el proyecto en la mañana, así que el sol intenso hizo su trabajo y para cuando empezó a llover el cemento ya estaba muy sólido. Estas fotos son del día siguiente cuando ya todo estaba muy seco en cuanto al cemento, se ve húmedo pero es porque ha estado lloviendo mucho últimamente.

And well, I finally finished the job, thank God it turned out well and I saved some money in labor. Thank you very much for having accompanied me during the process.
Y bueno, finalmente terminé el trabajo, gracias a Dios quedó bien y me ahorré un dinero en mano de obra. Muchas gracias por haberme acompañado durante el proceso.

Me parece que quedó excelente además tomó medidas extras que me parecieron bien astutas. Como el uso de diferentes mezclas para el Vaciado, también la mini rampa en la cuneta con el tuvo dentro.
Y bueno la señora carmen estaba cuidando de usted jejeje

Amigo la rampa te quedo muy bien y por lo que veo pensaste en todos los detalles. La inclinación como dices no lo podías resolver por la altura de la casa, pero seguro que es lucho más fácil meter la bici moto así.

Sí, exacto, aún y con la inclinación empinada ahora es mucho más fácil subir la moto que estar poniendo una tabla de madera como hacíamos antes.
