Keito Homma [Channel Review] ESP/ENG

Today I bring here a channel that I would like to share with all of you, I am referring to Keito Homma, a Japanese guy who has already several years touring various parts of the world especially Latin America and more recently Venezuela, as I understand he has a strong connection with this country (my country) because he is part of the medical support and physiatrist of the baseball team Navegantes del Magallanes, so having lived here for so many years he knows a lot about the culture of my country, its people, its gastronomy, its way of speaking, everything, in fact I am very impressed to see how he not only dominates the Spanish language almost perfectly, but also handles more complex concepts such as regionalisms, this is only given by experience. Another thing I like about this channel is that Keito honors his culture and shows himself as an extremely respectful person, you can see it in the way he approaches people for interviews, and on the other hand he is also enthusiastic and eager to learn about other cultures and customs.
Hoy traigo por aquí un canal que me gustaría compartir con todos ustedes, me refiero a Keito Homma, un muchacho japonés que tiene ya varios años recorriendo varias partes del mundo en especial Latinoamérica y más recientemente Venezuela, ya que según tengo entendido él tiene una fuerte conexión con este país (mi país) porque él forma parte del apoyo medico y fisiatra del equipo de Beisbol Navegantes del Magallanes, así que al haber vivido tantos años aquí conoce mucho la cultura de mi país, su gente, su gastronomía, su forma de hablar, todo, de hecho me llama mucho la atención ver como no solo domina el idioma español casi a la perfección, sino que también maneja conceptos más complejos como los regionalismos, esto solo lo da la experiencia. Además, otra cosa que me gusta de este canal y es que Keito hace honor a su cultura y se muestra como una persona extremadamente respetuosa, se nota en la forma de abordar a personas para entrevistas, y por otra parte también se muestra entusiasta y ávido por conocer otras culturas y costumbres.
I really like all the videos, especially the ones he has in Venezuela. He often visits people who in Japan would be known as Halfu, that is "half" which refers to people who have two cultures because they are children of parents with different nationalities, so one of the videos I enjoyed the most was one where he shared time with a girl named Sayuri who despite being the daughter of Venezuelan parents grew up all her life in Japan because her mother came there when she was only 12 years old, So Sayuri in fact speaks almost no Spanish, so it is extremely interesting to see how the girl is perfectly fluent in Japanese and despite being in Venezuela to share time with her father and other family members, she is discovering and learning along with Keito a little more of our culture. I also find the video interesting because the girl also tells how was her experience living in Japan having the appearance of a Latina.
Me gustan mucho todos los videos, sobre todo los que tiene en Venezuela. Él a menudo visita personas que en Japón serían conocidas como Halfu, osea "mitad" lo que se refiere a personas que tienen dos culturas porque son hijos de padres con distintas nacionalidades, de modo que uno de los videos que más disfruté fue uno donde compartió tiempo con una muchacha llamada Sayuri que a pesar de ser hija de padre y madre Venezolanos se crio toda su vida en Japón porque su madre llegó a allí cuando tenía solo 12 años, así que Sayuri de hecho casi no habla el idioma español, entonces resulta tremendamente interesante ver como la chica se desenvuelve perfectamente hablando japonés y a pesar de estar en Venezuela para compartir tiempo con su padre y demás familiares, ella va descubriendo y conociendo junto con Keito un poco más de nuestra cultura. Además también me parece interesante el video porque la chica también cuenta como fue su experiencia viviendo en Japón teniendo apariencia de latina.
Currently he went to Japan and is making content there but still focused on his Venezuelan audience and baseball, for example, how the Caribbean Series was experienced in Japan and also a video that I really liked is one where they were preparing our popular arepas but with Japanese ingredients, something that I find very interesting.
Actualmente se fue a Japón y está haciendo contenido allá pero todavía enfocado a su publico venezolano y al beisbol, por ejemplo, como se vivió en Japón la serie del caribe y también un video que me gustó mucho es uno donde estuvieron preparando nuestras populares arepas pero con ingredientes japoneses, algo que me parece muy interesante.
Another video that I especially enjoyed is where he was showing how they celebrated New Year's Eve in Japan, specifically in his family, which gives us an overview from a closer and real point of view of a new culture and traditions totally different from what we are used to on this side of the pond, yet I was very pleased to see that he brought a little piece of our country represented in a bottle of Santa Teresa Rum, one of the most popular in the country.
Otro video que disfruté especialmente es donde él estuvo mostrando como celebraban la noche vieja, osea, la víspera de año nuevo en Japón, específicamente en su familia, lo cual nos ofrece un panorama desde un punto de vista más cercano y real de una nueva cultura y de tradiciones totalmente diferentes a lo que acostumbramos en este lado del charco, aún así me complació mucho ver que él llevó un pedacito de nuestro país representado en una botella de Ron Santa Teresa, uno de los más populares del país.

Me encantan los japoneses, tienen un nivel de educacion y disciplina que los mantiene a mil años luz de nosotros jaja se nota que disfruta mucho de lo que hace y que ama Venezuela, se ve reflejado tambien en como aprendio muy bien el español, uno de los idiomas mas dificiles a nivel mundial y claro, cosas que solo la experiencia le pudieron haber dado, me encanta 😍
A mi también me gusta mucho su forma de ser, su sentido del respeto y disciplina, este muchacho además es carismático y demuestra interés por aprender nuevas culturas. Me halaga mucho que le guste mi pais, así como dices, demostró su interés al hablar español tan fluidamente.
