Robots at War: A Safer Alternative or a Greater Threat to Humanity?
The rate at which lives of gallant soldiers are lost in battle is disheartening, and that's why many of us citizens often clamor for peace so that countries of the world can live in harmony with each other and the overall quality of lives would be greatly improved. In light of that, we've seen some countries present the idea of using robots or AI for battles so that the rate at which people die in war will reduce. At first glance it seems like a great way forward, but is it actually so, and would such an evolution of the art of war lead to something far more devastating for the human race and our planet as a whole?

To be honest, if I were to have a relative or friend in the military, I'd gladly accept the fact that he should be replaced by a robot to fight battles because I know doing that will reduce the risk of him dying during war or while he's on a mission. Doing that will also give me opportunity then see them more often and share valuable time together that'll help us bond and create mind-blowing memories together. But the truth is that despite how great replacing humans with robots for war seems, I still think it's not the best way forward.
Why I said it doesn't seem like the best solution It is because replacing human soldiers with robots won't end the war; in fact, in my opinion, I think it'll further intensify the war to a point where rich countries would go beyond the battlefield to start attacking innocent citizens so as to capture the territory. Like we all know, robots don't have emotions like we humans do, and so they might not be able to tell the difference between innocent citizens and the warriors, thereby leading to far more loss of lives than we thought we were saving by replacing humans with robots.
Why I said it'll even be far more dangerous is also because not all countries have the resources or capability to make robots, nor the funding resources to acquire them in large quantities, which means countries with bigger capacity and resources would more easily wipe out the country with lesser resources. Also, purchasing these fighter robots from other countries could be a danger in disguise because such a country you're buying from might have bad intentions towards your country and might have pre-installed some instructions in the robot that'll make them turn on you whenever they're ready to make a move against your country. Making it an obvious risk just purchasing them.

So overall, like I have stated above, using robots for war would be very dangerous and affect our planet in far more devastating ways, given the fact that they can do anything just to fulfill the purpose for which they're created, not caring if their actions affect our ecosystem or themselves. Since they've no feelings, they'll be willing to do anything to ascertain victory. So I believe the best way forward is to sign a peace treaty and for all nations of the world to live in peace and harmony. We're supposed to stand by each other, not resent or fight each other.

I agree with you. When given an order, robots tend to do anything possible to ensure that it accomplish its mission even if it means killing civilians or destroying the ecosystem. From a military perspective, this is nice at it could be seen as an ultimate soldier but then, from a civilian perspective, I don't really like this idea.
That's just it and why peace is what we need.
The use of robotics will be of help in reducing the death of soldiers among soldiers on the battlefield but to me I believe the disadvantages outweigh it's advantage.
