My take on Brother Eli's teachings on forgiveness of sin
Greetings, brethren in Christ, I hope you're all in good health. Today I'd love to share an insight into my take on the teachings of Bro. Eli on the topic of forgiveness of sin. As we all know, sin has become the order of the day in our society today, and in the video, Brother Eli took the time to break sin down for us and also highlight the various types of sin.

To start with, sin to me is more or less like an act of disobedience or doing things that don't go in line with God's words in the Bible. Bro. Eli made us understand this by shedding more light on sin by using John chapter 5 verse 16 as a case study, and as stated in that part of the Bible, Bro. Eli deduced two types of sin as stated in the Bible.
TWO TYPES OF SIN
According to John 5:15–16, we are told by Bro. Eli that the two types of sin are:
- SINS UNTO DEATH: According to the teaching I learned, these types of sins are those done against the holy spirit; they're also the types of sin done intentionally, meaning those whose sins fall into this category are those who willingly go into sin despite being fully aware of the teachings of Christ according to the word of God. This theory was deduced from the book of Hebrew 10:26–27 by Bro. Eli.
- SIN NOT UNTO DEATH: These other types of sin are the ones indulged in unintentionally; when someone falls into sin out of ignorance of the word of God, such is seen as one that's not unto death. I love how Brother Eli breaks down this point by using Apostle Peter's questions to Jesus as a pointed nod to show that God will continually forgive our sins whenever we transgress against His teaching unintentionally. The reason I love the breakdown is because, prior to knowing this, I'd only seen this verse as a teaching that shows how forgiving we should be as humans and not as a typical show of how loving God is to forgive those who sin.
This teaching has been a channel of blessing to me as I've come to see sinning in a new light and hope to live a sin-free life onward. The teachings help us understand the types of sins and the importance of living a sin-free lifestyle, for that is the will of God.
Thanks so much for your time. May God grant us all the privilege to live a life that pleases Him forever.
Hehe, Pastor Vick. Thanks for this recap, I didn't there were major categories of sin.
Smile, you're welcome.
Yea there are and you can.
I love the summary you did here , I don't know you are now a pastor, lol.
Sin unto death is the one you intentionally committed, and these sins are punishable.
If we study the word of God very well, it will guide us in every facet of life. Thank you for sharing, remain blessed.
You're welcome brotherly.
Yea you're right on point, and just like you said the ones done intentional attract punishment, while the once done out of ignorance attract forgiveness.
Thanks so much for your time, stay bless and have a productive day ahead.

Wonderful exposition! The teachings of Bro Eli on the various subjects of the doctrines of Jesus are really helpful to a serious christian. Let us take them to heart and live by them.
In a simple way that means they are exist two types of sim and one is intentional and the second one in unintentional sin. I believe that an unintentional sin can be forget easily if anyone realise it and feel guilty for it.
