How I Keep Myself Going When I Feel Like Giving Up
Life isn't always a bed of roses, as we all know all roses have thorns, so life can get overwhelming, and in such situations we sometimes feel like giving up is the easiest option. Life as we know it isn't always perfect; there are times when things don't go the way we want, and we get tired emotionally and mentally. I've been in such situations, and during my reflection process I can't lie about the fact that the mindset of letting go does come to mind, but through the years I've found a way to pull through and not give in to life's reality, and those things that motivate me to keep going are what I'll be sharing below.
In staying motivated to pull through such moments, I don't pretend everything is fine to cajole myself into action, nor is it that I have a burst of strength; it's rather more about me reminding myself about the major reasons why I delve into such things in the first place, reminding myself of these and reflecting on the journey thoroughly to decipher how far I've come, the sacrifices I've made, and what I aimed to achieve that brought about the journey in the first place. All of these just go on to reignite the fire in me that pushes me towards the goal.
Still on what keeps me motivated during moments when I feel like giving up, one of such is me coming to the understanding that nothing lasts forever, meaning in the long run this tough phase will pass by. With this knowledge and the reminder that I'm not the first person who has or is going through tough times, and citing examples of great men who have achieved mind-blowing things and shared their journey to stardom and all the rough paths they had to deal with, These usually make me understand that struggles are usually a part of every story, and they don't necessarily spell the end of such, just like the popular saying, Tough times don't last; tough people do, and I energize myself by telling myself, "This tough time is just a page in your life's story and not the whole book, so stand up and continue on the quest to make your effort worth it."
Another on the list of what keeps me motivated is the need to slow down the pace at which I'm going rather than give up completely. I've come to realize we sometimes get so engrossed in the goal ahead that we start draining ourselves out, and it gets to a point where we feel like we've had enough and should just give up. During such moments, I often try to slow down by probably taking a day or two off and investing that leisure time into something I love or enjoy doing, such as playing music or games or spending time with family, friends, or loved ones, or just sleeping. When I do these things, I often resume feeling refreshed, and these have helped me understand that it's not about going at full speed always; sometimes what matters is staying in the race.
Lastly, I also run to my maker for help, which we can refer to as faith. I do this by taking such a situation to him in fervent prayers, where I pour out my heart to him, and even though it might not disappear miraculously, I often feel a sense of peace or assurance within me. I also feel renewed and strengthened, and I can attest to the fact that such strength doesn't come from within me.
Overall , it's always essential to stay motivated so our longed-after dreams and aspirations won't die along the way because we face challenges, and we just need to present a reason that's bigger than the obstacle for us to sail through. My biggest and most important message to myself when I find myself at the point of giving up is telling myself, You've come too far to give up; you can still stand up and take bold steps so you can make the rest of your life the very best of your life.

Thanks so much, I'm grateful.
Always welcome 🤗
You see for me ehh, there's this peace within which I usually feel when I have tried everything but then hand over the challenge to my creator. I might not see results immediately but I will encounter peace of mind which is luxury, it keeps me positive and hoping that soon, I will carry my desires
More than a motivation
That peace is just heavenly and what's needed to get going.
Having the understanding that change is a constant factor and no situation lasts forever, also moving at a pace required at that time instead of giving up, are indeed good points to stay motivated.
