How Hive Changed My Life and Perspective
I joined Hive around one of the most difficult phases of my life, a point in time when the future looked blurry and everything seemed uncertain. I was going through it all, from recently quitting my job to standing by my bedridden brother at the time. That was a point in time I really needed something in the form of comfort and hope, and Hive came to light. My journey into Hive began as an individual who was looking for a lifeline. Fast forward to the present day, and I can't help but stand in awe at how fascinating the journey has been.
At first, I won't really say I was skeptical about the idea of earning by writing, and that's because I had been, at one point in time, into content writing and getting paid for that via Fiverr, but then it's good to know I don't need to wait weeks or months for gigs before I can earn. Hive has been wonderful to me right from my first publication here; the warm reception I received in the form of comments, feedback, encouragement, and the like made me relax, knowing I'm definitely in a safe place where I'm truly welcome.
It was also a pleasant feeling having to have different people from around the world read and drop a comment on my post; that alone left a kind of satisfaction beyond just earning, because I can remember I used to imagine what it felt like to be heard beyond my current residence, and Hive made this a reality.
That aspect is one that really caught my attention and changed my perspective about social media. I mean, on other popular social media spaces, you'll hardly get to see people from other continents; the few you see are either celebrities or don't even give a damn about you, so seeing Hive connect people across the globe was a game changer.
Because I get to have meaningful conversations with different people I wouldn't have met had Hive not brought us together, people from different continents, beliefs, cultures, and the like—and one way or another, Hive has its way of bringing us together to collaborate and build community. Basically, Hive helps me by moving me from being someone who feels isolated to building relationships that transcend borders.
When I first joined Hive, I was just focused on writing and earning, and sometimes I just dropped anything, but over time my perspective on many things has shifted, making me more mindful of the kind of content I shared, as I try to be a contributor to the bigger picture, such as promoting Hive and initiatives that project Hive to the world and expressing my values. With all these, I've come to realize that I'm growing as a person and not just in earnings. Now Hive has become a part of my daily life; it has given me true friends and a space where I can express myself.

The space to grow and be yourself is what hive gives to all. But it will only make sense when we know what we have and you definitely know it!

That aspect of people reading and dropping comments is what I love most about the blockchain. Thanks for sharing.
