How Gardening Supports My Plant-Based Diet
Having a patch or kitchen garden is a great asset at this time for many reasons, from the fact that it helps cut costs among those spent on food items and vegetables to the fact that it helps us have access to most of our needed vegetables easily without going through the stress of the market and the like. I, for one, have been fortunate to have been grown by parents who plant different types of vegetables, and this played an important role in shaping me to do the same and having all of these in handy for all of my dishes.
Having a garden has helped me a lot, in fact not just me but my neighbors as well, because due to the fact that I grow different varieties of vegetables and crops in my garden, they tend to pay me a visit to get some whenever they need some to cook, and I'm always happy to share because it's no joke how expensive most of these vegetables are sold in the market nowadays.
I can remember hearing a friend complain about how expensive things are and his desire to start up his garden. I was sorry for him and encouraged him to quickly act on his garden, so that can at least curb the situation of things to an extent. I even gave him some seeds and roots she can easily transplant when he gets home, also giving him some vegetables alongside the seeds.
In my garden, I've got varieties of plants, vegetables, and crops, and that's because of my desire to be self-sufficient, especially in the area's food. Now that my doctor has advised me to eat more vegetables and free meals, in my garden, you can find vegetables such as bell peppers, tomatoes, cassava, maize, and different varieties of vegetables such as spinach, pumpkin, and the like.
And all of these usually come in handy whenever I want to prepare my meals as a vegan. I so much love the idea of stepping out into the backyard of the house to my garden to plug in any vegetables I need and go back in to start preparing them; it's just seamless and pleasing to have everything in the comfort of my house and not undergo the hustle and bustle of the road, traffic, and markets.
Being that I've got a garden of my own just makes life easy for me, especially around the kitchen and in terms of food, and through the years I've gone on to plant a variety of crops, from maize to cassava, different vegetables, cashews, and the like. Even this year alone, I've harvested maize twice and vegetables and my tomatoes on multiple occasions.
There's nothing as sweet and exciting as planting your own food, seeing them grow, and meeting your every need in and around the kitchen; it's just satisfying, and on every given opportunity, I try to get to plan more types of vegetables I see in other people's gardens into mine so I can as well have them and enjoy them from the comfort of my home.

Having your own garden is such a blessing! And indeed, when we have crops, it will makes us healthier we because we cook the healthy crops especially the organic one.
Yea that's absolutely right, it helps us avoid those crops sold outside that are enhanced by chemicals.
