Creative Sunday || Creating a Logo for 'The Achievers'
Good day, fellow creative minds on the hive blockchain. It's been an amazing week, and I'm excited that it's another Sunday and a time to showcase my creativity as well as see that of others in the hive blockchain community. Today on my path, I'll be talking you through how I designed this logo for a group I was in during a Lagos State Teachers Seminar. Being someone with a little knowledge of design, I was tasked with the responsibility of creating a logo for the group and to try as much as possible to make sure it represented Lagos in one way or another.
And so I set out to work, using the Canva app as a tool to craft out the logo. As I don't really have any idea of what they want aside from the fact that it should represent our group name, which is the achievers, and should also represent Lagos State, who happens to be the host of the program, I decided to use the major color of the state as my way of representing the state, while the first alphabet of the word achievers can represent our group.
So I began my project by opening a plain page on Canva. I then changed the color of the page to black. My reason for doing this is so that the colors I'll be using will pop out well and glow against the black.
The second stage was searching for a circular shape amongst the already existing shapes on the Canva template. After getting the one I loved, I went on to change its color to red and align it with the center.
Thirdly, I replicate the first circle, but now reduce its size, then change its color to green, after which I align it to the center as well.
Fourthly, I duplicated the second circle, then reduced its size and changed its color to yellow, after which I aligned it with the center as well.
Once again, I make another copy of the circle and reduce its size. Change the color to blue and make sure it's centered on the page.
With those four colors of red, green, yellow, and blue, it means I've used all the colors represented in Lagos state color, so I went on to make another circle, reduce its size, and change its color to black. This I did so I could place the text between the colors.
Once this was achieved, I designed a letter A that has a crown to present our name, Achievers, but after inserting, most people believe we should still have our name around the logo and that the letter presentation isn't enough, so I added text with the word THE ACHIEVERS, after which I changed the font.
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
I also change the color of the text to gold, so it can blend with the color of the A between the logo design, and that's how I achieved and concluded the logo design.
I sent it to our group leader, who then sent it to the group for everyone to see. It was widely appreciated by the group members and was later incorporated into the PowerPoint slide we use for our presentation, which I'll probably blog about sometime this week.
That's all about my design and creativity for today. I hope you enjoyed the read. Below is a picture of when it was sent to the group and the people's responses.
Thanks so much for your time, and have a wonderful week ahead.

Dear beloved Hive creator,
Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.
As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.
I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
