A Personal Journey of Eating Habits and Preferences
Food is an important part of our existence as humans; in fact, it's like the fuel that keeps our body engine going. It's highly essential for individuals to eat so as to stay healthy and alive, because whoever doesn't eat after some days would end up dying of starvation. I'm a lover of food, good food especially, because I know the role it plays in my body system. There's this saying that what we eat can either go on to make or mar your health, and in this article, I'd be telling you all you need to know about me and food, my eating habits, and everything that revolves around it.
Talking about my eating habits and which I prefer between quality and quantity, it's worth noting that I'm a lover of food and don't joke with it, while I do fast when it's necessary, whenever I'm not, do well to eat whenever I'm hungry, quality food are really good because it's tends to carry all the required nutrients that'll aid our body growth and sustain our wellbeing, that's having the right amount of nutrients and vitamins that enhance the body.
Few months back into last year I had a conversation with my doctor about what I can eat and not eat due to my health conditions and he went on to list different things I can eat and those I couldn't, it wasn't easy to adapt to this because many of what was listed are mostly what we eat on a regular basis, but since it's for the ultimate good of my health, I tried as much as possible to adapt to those changes, letting go of most proteinus food that further given my liver work to do and harm me in the end.
My meal revolve around quality food of other nutrients such as carbohydrates and the likes, I also eat more of fruit, from apple to watermelon, dates, grapes and the likes, which are quite expensive to get and eat on a regular basis, but then I find a way to eat them when I could and it's been helping greatly to show how impressive quality food is to us.
However, despite the fact that I want quality food, it doesn't mean I'm the type who don't care about the quantity, I mean I like to eat and be satisfied, not just eating little and ended up being hungry again after a few minutes, so most times when I want to eat I prefer to have it enough to satisfy me and be able to carry me for a long time.
Since it's not like I've a specific time for eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, I've made it a point of duty to eat enough food whenever it's i get to finally eat, I mean take for instance, there are days I go to work and don't have opportunity to eat until around 11 or 12, and I know if I don't eat by then, then I'll have to wait till 3pm, so most times when I get that opportunity, I just make sure the quantity of the nutritious food is enough to fill and satisfy me, to the point of being enough to let me discharge my duty throughout the day without breaking down.
so that's about it, I prefer both quality and quantity, and while I tried to stick to my doctor's diet regulation, I don't because of that eat less, I remember when I was indulging in a weigh loss routine and someone advised me to cut down the quantity of food in eating, it was difficult for me to adjust and I ultimately just continue with my eating habits.

Most ppl dont put much though on how personal our relationship with food is, probably if we all did would eat healthier instead of just going for the taste, after all what happens if you put bad gas or the wrong gas into your car??, i agree that quality food is essential to keep that engine going and not overheating or dying, I personally dont see eating healthy like a diet anymore, I remember watching a documentary called "The Magic Pill" that change my perspective on food, thx for sharing ✌️
