A Day That Lives Rent-Free in My Mind

Looking back into all my experiences this year, I can see moments of growth, challenges, and unexpected turns, but amidst it there's one memory that stands out as the most fun, and it's no other day than the day I finally got to meet some of my Hive friends in person at Omu Resort, Lagos. Understandably, I've narrated the entire story before, so I'll be more focused on the experience so you can understand what makes it stand out for me.

This was that kind of day that still makes me smile randomly whenever it crosses my mind or I come across some of the pictures. I'm the kind of person who always turns down physical meetups, not because I'm proud, but out of habit and hesitation, so me saying yes to that was like unlocking a whole new chapter. In truth, I was glad I spent time with Nkem, Princess, and moremoney outside the screen we usually meet on. This experience was like watching Hive literally come to life. Everything about it was just mind-blowing: the laughter, rides, and small but meaningful moments that went on to make the day just not about Hivers meeting up, but humans connecting on a deeper level.

While everything was great, from the zoo and animal sightings to the amusement ride, water slide, and the like, what made the whole thing unforgettable was the both we shared. It wasn't just about being fun-filled but also how it felt healing in a way, more or like the universe is reminding me of the fact that joy doesn't necessarily have to be expensive, that it could be shared, simple, and real.

So without any atom of doubt, that meetup was the most fun-filled experience I've had this year. I understand I've had other great moments and that the year still holds more promises and unwritten pages to be filled up, but what makes this my favorite of all isn't necessarily because of the place we went but those I got to experience it with.

All photos are mine.

That would really be amazing, meet some of my hive friends in real life. I guess the only ones I have met in real lives are the ones I knew in real life before coming to life. I can imagine how amazing it was for you, and for each of you.

Sometimes it's good to leave our comfort zone , go out there and breath a fresh breath, embrace the nature , connect with others and just be alright. Life has a way of giving us reasons to stick to our usual routine but the moment we break out, we will experience something new

I am glad the experience stands out for u...and has been the one to remember. Hopefully , you get to experience similar thing as time goes on

It's indeed great to leave comfort zone, I'm glad I did that day.

Hopefully I do, except for the fact that you guys haven't been showing signs of willingness to go.

Can't imagine the day I would meet my hive friends too. I think I will have same fun-filled experience as you.
I haven't visited the zoo this year though but I think that's a nice place to hangout with friends. Thanks for sharing my Boss.

Zoo is a wonderful place to be, you get to see cool animals you only see on TV.

Also it'll be great to meet your friends here on the Blockchain.

Meeting Hivers in person must have been so thrilling. From online to real life. The fact that you did fun activities but also connected on a human level is wonderful to hear. It's understandable that you still smile about this meeting - it will remain unique and special.
