Growth in imperfections
Hello hivers and lovely friends of @hivelearners, it's been a while, welcome to my blog. Feel free to read, like and comment.
If we lived in a perfect world where there was no illness, hunger, or poverty and every world leader actually cared about their people, will there be need for individual growth? As kids, we're raised to learn how to deal with life's situations, and obstacles that come our way. But when we live in a perfect world without obstacles, do we really need that growth? Or was this world never meant to be perfect to begin with?

This week's contest actually got me thinking, like is such a world even possible? A peaceful world, without sickness, fight corruption. A world where the leaders care about it's citizens, is such a world possible? Let's say yes that such a world is possible because most people don't want fights, quarrel, sickness or corruption. But we should ask ourselves a very important question: is individual growth needed?
As children we were taught to always face life head on, whatever the challenges or situations we find ourselves. We were taught how to handle pain and when we fall, we should stand up, dust ourselves and move on. When we have already set out to do something and it doesn't work out, we change, we learn and we adapt. Growth often comes from struggle. Without struggle, growth feels less necessary.
In a perfect world, there would be no problems to overcome. No challenges to face, people won't be afraid to fail. No loss, no pain and no gain. People would live very comfortably from the beginning of their lives till the end of it. When we have nothing to challenge us, personal growth will begin to fade and slow down. We won't learn what it feels like to try again after failing.
Don't get me wrong, growth is not just about pain. Even if the world is perfect people would still dream, they will still have choices. People might want to learn new skills or understand themselves better, growth here will just come because people are curious not because they need to survive.
We should also ask if humans value growth without hardship. When everything is given without stress it may loose value and effort will loose meaning. I believe pain teaches us gratitude, loss teaches us love, and when success comes without struggle it may not feel special.
This would make one ask and wonder, is this world ever meant to be perfect? Maybe imperfections is not a mistake but a part of life's design. I believe the broken part of this world push we humans to be caring, to change and be better people. Illness makes us compassionate, poverty makes us generous and pain makes us connect with each other. This shapes who we are as humans.
Ofcourse a perfect world is peaceful but an imperfect one gives life meaning. And what's life without meaning? Maybe we are not meant to live life without problems, but to grow through them. Maybe we are not meant to live in perfection but to learn and become better than we were yesterday.
Image is mine.
Humans were built to evolve even in perfect situations we are still not satisfied, we tend to always want more from what life gives us.
That's just the beauty of being human I guess, we always want more just like Oliver twist 😂
This is lovely....
And I agree with you that an imperfect world gives life meaning.
A lot of the things we hold dear today and value wouldn't have been that valuable if we had gotten it on a platter of gold. What we had to go through before earning, owning and achieving it make us value it.
Thanks for sharing.

That's just it, the more go through thick and thin to get something, the more valuable it'll be. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate.
Truly, it is the brokenness of the world that has made humans strive to be better.
If the world was perfect, humans would most likely relax, and wouldn't want to lift a finger to do anything.
Nice piece
That's just it, but some would always look for more no matter what.
Thanks for reading through
If the world was perfect and we did not have to do much, maybe all of us will just relax and have everything offered to us on a platter of gold.
Yea, we will buy for how long?
Some people will always look for more and that's just being human.
Almost all of us will not do anything if the world is perfect. Its truly the imperfections of the world that's bringing out the best in us
That's just it, the imperfection is the best and it's supposed to be that way.
