Wednesday walk to village Stoilovo

In today's Wednesday walk, I want to take you on a walk in a beautiful Bulgarian village located in Strandzha Mountain - the village Stoilovo.

My friends and I were cycling along the forest paths, but we ran out of drinking water, so we decided to enter the village and pour ourselves some water from the tap in the center or, if there is an open shop, to buy drinks.

Even from afar, before entering the village, a unique panoramic view opens up.

In the center of the village, right behind the church, is the main square, where there is a gazebo with a stone fountain. There were a few children there who told us that there was no water. They also explained to us that the shop in the village was not working. This was confirmed by the people we met on the way.

My friends and I decided to ride our bikes around anyway and make sure that the village shop was not open. I also suggested that we go to the stone fountain which is located at the other end of the village, near the Flag area.

We went in one direction but at some point everyone ended up in a different part of the village.

I reached the fountain I wanted to see and water was flowing from it.

A little further up from the fountain is the chapel of St. Elijah, and right behind it there is a wooden gazebo.

The most interesting part about getting to the fountain was that the area where there used to be a wooden swing had now been renovated and had many new features like new wooden tables, a board, a wall with stands made of cut stumps.

There was also a big heart on which I placed my bike for a photo.

I headed towards the center, where I assumed I would find my friends, and we soon gathered. Everyone had found water - the locals had poured it for them from their fountains.

Soon we were once again heading towards the dirt paths of the unique Strandzha Mountain.
