On today's Wednesday walk, I want to tell you about the Rose Museum, which is located in the Bulgarian city of Kazanlak.

It was extremely interesting to walk through the halls of the museum and touch so much history related to the oil-bearing rose that is grown in Kazanlak area. And its high qualities are due precisely to the unique climate that characterizes the Kazanlak Valley - warm winters and cool summers.

Bulgarian rose oil is of extremely high quality and is highly sought after as a valuable ingredient by various perfume companies. The museum stores valuable objects and documents related to the production of rose oil from the past.

I saw a copper vessel for distilling rose flowers - with a capacity of 80-100 liters.

I had the opportunity to see primitive tools used to cultivate the rose gardens: shovels, hoes, plows and more.

Muskali - containers for storing rose oil and konkumi - containers for transporting the oil of various sizes and shapes.

Particularly interesting were the vessels for storing boiled rose water called Suyria.

Dark colored bottles and jars for rose water.

There were also paintings and handmade paper roses in the halls and on the walls.

There is so much more to see there. If you are ever there, be sure to visit the museum.

It's my first time to hear an oil-bearing rose. That's indeed unique climate-warm winters and cool summers. The copper vessel looks very traditional or antique. How awesome to see those old tools they used in the past for this kind of work. All beautiful and valuable pieces worthy of display and safekeeping.

This visit to this museum is interesting; it's a look back in time and a chance to appreciate all the relics that, in a way, tell a lot of history.
