Wednesday walk in autumn forest

My today's Wednesday walk is in the autumn forest.

Riding my bike at the foot of Copper Hill, I explored unfamiliar dirt paths that I had passed but not entered.

I explored two such paths unknown to me. One started with a steep climb and led me to a meadow where the trail ended.

I looked around, and soon between the drooping branches of the trees and the tall grass I saw a stone fountain. I slipped through the branches and approached the fountain. I regret to find that it has long since been abandoned and is not working.

I returned to the main road and headed for the second trail I had set out to explore.

I entered the forest by following a relatively level path. I was pleasantly surprised when at one point I found myself in front of a beautiful area with wide stones and traces of a forest stream.

The stones were large and covered with fresh green moss. Exploaring them more closely I began to discover small mushrooms growing on them. They were of different shapes, sizes and colors.

The mosses formed great soft shapes.

I also found lichens and different types of grasses.

There were also stumps around where I discovered more types of mushrooms.

I also found mushrooms among the fallen autumn leaves.

The water around the stones beautifully reflected the charms of the forest.

I took a short break at this gorgeous place with a lovely hot tea and headed back.

Thank you for stopping by!

How come there's nobody around? Is the hill that secluded?

Lovely forest! Lucky you. You could cycle to forest and seaside as often as you desire. A wonderful country!
