The shore of Lahana area with the interesting stones

4.jpg

On a still warm January day, a girlfriend and I finally went to a place we had been planning to visit for a long time.

One of us was always busy or the weather wasn't right, but we still couldn't go since last year. But the day came and although the weather was quite challenging - we made it.

The place is located between Sarafovo and Pomorie in the Lahana area and is accessible via wooden steps alternating with stone paths.

The coastline we were heading towards was about to reveal interesting stone and rock oddities.

The coast has eroded and we had to walk carefully.

The interest that brought us to this wild place was that the area is full of sedimentary rocks, in which microfossils can be observed.

We find stones with incredible shapes.

There were also mixed rock pieces with interesting impurities.

To move forward, we had to overcome areas with fallen branches and step on stones in the water.

The weather was so changeable that it either started to rain lightly or the sun started to shine.

The views of the sea were uniquely beautiful with thick clouds covering the sky.

Interesting stones continued to surprise us. Amazing contours and strange structures appeared before us.

Here is an interesting calcite vein in the limestone rock.

We reached a section where we couldn't continue without risking one of the rocks collapsing as we passed. We were sure we had almost reached Pomorie.

We returned, each taking a small pebble as a souvenir from today's walk.

Taking just a single pebble home feels symbolic.. like a proof that the real takeaway isn’t what you carry, but what you notice. Amazing!!
