Cycling with friends in the snow

This Sunday with @outlinez and friends from our cycling group, we riding our bicycles to the Foros area.

In the city, the snow has melted almost everywhere, only in some areas it is still there, so we didn't know when we entered the dirt paths whether we would find snow or mud. But we bravely set off there.

There were certain points where we would stop to gather, as everyone was coming from a different part of the city. It had been a long time since we had gotten together to ride together, and it was nice to see each other.

As soon as we reached the Poda protected area, we saw that the snow here had not melted yet. There was much more snow there than in other places.

We took the dirt road leading to the dog shelters.

We rode our bikes through snowy areas, passing through mud. In places there were quite large puddles.

Besides riding our bikes, we had planned to have a picnic that day, so we headed to a meadow that was suitable for lighting a fire.

We found a dried-up tree that had been knocked down by the storm and used the dry branches to light a fire.

Each of us brought food and drinks and we set up a table on the grass.

I had prepared a unique red lentil bread that everyone really liked and in the next posts I plan to share the recipe for how to make it.

A friend had prepared a mulled rakia in which he had put cloves, honey, orange peels, hot pepper and other things. I tried a sip of this drink - it was very strong and spicy but very warming in the cold weather.

We had a nice time in the cheerful company for a few hours and then grabbed the bicycles and headed back to the city before it got too cold again.
