Cycling to chapel St. Marina
That day, with @outlinez and our friends from the cycling group, we cycled to the Black Sea town of Sozopol, with our final destination being the chapel of St. Marina.
Only one of us had visited it and for everyone else the place was unknown, so with great excitement we set off south.
On the cycle path we had a rescue operation, with an 8-year-old child who had gotten lost. He had lost his parents while cycling and decided to go home alone, but got confused and wandered away from the town. Fortunately, when we met him on the cycle path and after we found out what the situation was, we called his parents on the phone (the child knew his mother's phone number). They had already called the police and the patrol cars were already looking for him. After explaining his location, we waited for the police officers on duty and and we sent him to his parents.
And so we continued on our route.
We entered the town of Chernomorets, where the season was already over, the shops closed, the streets deserted.
Cars with caravans were leaving the Black Sea coast.
We entered the town of Sozopol and shopped for various things, then took a dirt road to the chapel of St. Marina.
The place where the chapel was built is magnificent. It is surrounded by green vegetation, and the temple itself, which is relatively new, is built next to a large, centuries-old tree. A large meadow spreads out on its right side.
The chapel is an Orthodox church and is a small and cozy building. It is dedicated to Saint Marina, the patron saint of the town of Sozopol.
Near it there is a large well and a fountain from which water barely flowed.
There are several covered gazebos, huge wooden tables and a fireplace.

We sat at one of the tables with wooden benches and had a nice rest for a while.
The ride back was no less interesting.
We met friends who had come to meet us and ride together. On the way we saw groups of children who were also riding bicycles and were happy to see us. We rode until the sun started to set. It was such a beautiful Sunday!

Cool route, I like it! Poor little one must have been so scared, but wonderful that you were there to help and reunite him with his parents...
The little one wasn't too scared because he thought he was going home on his bike, he didn't know that the direction he had taken was completely different. The important thing is that he and his parents are now together 😍.
Helping that lost kid on the path really stood out. The way you stayed with him and waited for the officers was really kind, like a real life side quest ADventure :) I am new here but this kind of ride story definately inspires me to get out more, it makes the day feel bright even in my desk world.
I'm glad that stories like mine are inspiring to you. Have a nice journey in Hive 😍
