Comfrey in our garden
An interesting and useful plant that we have had in our garden since last year is Comfrey.
We wanted to find a Comfrey with blooming red flowers, but we only found the one blooming with white flowers.
The plant is very popular for its ability to accelerate wound healing and is extremely successful in the treatment of broken bones, fracture swelling, joint pain and a number of other problems and ailments.
The reason we have it in our garden is that it is extremely useful for making garden fertilizer, an activator in compost, foliar spraying and mulching.
Comfrey is one of three plants on Earth that contains and releases vitamin B-12 from the soil! The famous Allantoin Comfrey has a very high level of allantoin. Allantoin is an organic substance found in the roots, stems and leaves of black comfrey.

So far we have only used it in the preparation of liquid fertilizer and for mulching. We are about to use it for foliar fertilization as well.
Fertilizer is useful for crops that need higher amounts of potassium. Like tomatoes, cucumbers, beans.
Fertilizer is prepared by adding about a kilogram of chopped leaves of Comfrey to 10 liters of water. Stays for about 1-2 weeks. The finished solution is diluted 1:9. It should only be used on dark days.

Good luck finding Comfrey 👍
