This weekend, my friends and I did a wonderful bike ride along the Southern Black Sea Coast.

About two weeks ago, a race was held that had an interesting route and friends from the cycling group suggested that we go through it.

I liked the suggestion and happily joined. In fact, we slightly modified the original track and made it more convenient for us.

So early in the morning we arrived in the town of Ahtopol by car. We got on the bikes and started.

Ahtopol is famous for its fresh graffiti painted in many places around the town, but that day I didn’t have time to walk around and look at them.

We headed towards the Strandzha village of Brodilovo. First we cycled a bit on asphalt.

We continued on the old path.

Then we continued along the dirt paths.

The weather was cloudy and pleasantly cool - the perfect weather for cycling.

The terrain was varied and we soon entered the forest.

We reached a wooden platform - a terrace from which a magnificent panoramic view was revealed.

Next came a long descent along rocky terrain to the village of Brodilovo.

I remembered that a few months ago, volunteers and I were marking and putting up signs in this very area. It was exciting to remember.

We quickly passed through the village, and the locals who saw us greeted us.

We crossed a bridge from which the beautiful Veleka River could be seen from above.

We were about to enter forest terrain again.

It was full of mud and puddles.

There was also a passage through fallen trees and tall grass.

The Strandja flies, which are so annoying and unpleasant, have also appeared, but there's no way - they're always here on this terrain in the summer.

We saw a few turtles.

We enjoyed the river again, only up close.

We had a very long descent on asphalt ahead of us, and the road took us to Sinemorets, from where we continued to the cars parked in Ahtopol.

We cycled 43 km that day and it was a very pleasant and fun experience.

Thank you for stopping by!

You and your friends had a wonderful time biking along the trail surrounded with beautiful view. You were blessed with good weather that day so it was a comfortable bike ride throughout. The wooden platform was a perfect spot for a selfie or groupie picture. Very beautiful scenery.
