Along the banks of the San Juan River, on the once vibrant Narváez Street in Matanzas, the houses seem to look at themselves in the water, as if trying to recognize who they are in different times. The reflection softens their façades, erases the noise, and returns a calmer version of what today feels dimmed by the country’s situation. Where laughter and the constant movement of people once filled the air, the river now holds a different kind of stillness, almost thoughtful. And in its liquid mirror, the homes continue to carry the memory of what they were and the quiet hope of what they may one day be again.

En el espejo silencioso del río.

Hola, hermosa comunidad de #ShadowHunters, participo con mucha ilusión en este nuevo concurso, doy las gracias a @olgavita por la convocatoria.

A orillas del río San Juan, en la popular calle Narváez de Matanzas, las casas se miran a sí mismas en el agua como si intentaran reconocerse en tiempos distintos. El reflejo suaviza las fachadas, borra el ruido y devuelve una versión más serena de lo que hoy parece apagado por la situación del país. Allí, donde antes abundaban las risas y el ir y venir de la gente, ahora el río guarda una calma distinta, casi pensativa. Y en su espejo líquido, las viviendas siguen sosteniendo la memoria de lo que fueron y la esperanza silenciosa de lo que aún puede volver a ser.
