Busy Head
Hello hello, welcome to a new week!
I’m reporting live from work, and as usual, I’m staring at the clock, eagerly waiting to go home. The good news? No work tomorrow or Wednesday—yay! On a sad note, one of my chickens passed away on Saturday morning, but I’ve been Hakuna Matata-ing through it all.
My boss was telling me about his recent trip to Zanzibar and asked if I had ever heard of Swahili. In my head, I thought, "Absolutely, I’m learning Swahili on Duolingo" (even though my last lesson was like six months ago). Instead, I told him that I had an undergrad classmate and friend who lived in Kenya and spoke Swahili.
Then he asked, "Do you know what 'Hakuna Matata' means?" I almost broke into song: "It means no worries for the rest of your days... a problem-free philosophy!" But I kept my cool, gave a cultured answer, and didn’t mention The Lion King. Apparently, that’s a common greeting in Zanzibar—news to me!
Filling up my Redbubble shop again. Every time I get a sale, I’m reminded to update it. It’s always amusing because it feels like someone loves my crazy design so much, they want to turn it into a throw pillow and blanket—basically, they want to look at it every time they go to bed and wake up. There are literally people sleeping on my art. Pun intended.
I probably need to update my links, some are obsolete. Reminiscent of my active NFT era which is way behind right now. TwittX is not a place to find me anymore. I've been more consistent with my blog than any conventional socials. I don't know, we'll see.
Alrightie then. Enjoy the rest of your week.
