Greetings everyone, how has the week been for all of you? In last week's music spotlight I have shared on the tunes that I usually hear whenever I visit a night market. Today is special, it is the Mid Autumn Festival and here's wishing all a blessed Mid Autumn Festival. Today's post will be Music Spotlight, game progress, results of the last giveaway and the new giveaway this week.
Music Spotlight
With today being Mid Autumn Festival, I will focus today's Music Spotlight on songs that are often associated with this festival.
For a start, what is Mid Autumn Festival?
The Mid-Autumn Festival or Zhongqiujie (中秋节) in Chinese, is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals celebrated by Chinese all around the world. It typically falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. The festival is a celebration of the full moon at its brightest and roundest, symbolizing family reunion and harmony. With the festival's focus on reunion, it is common for family members to come together and enjoy the evening under the moonlight and eating mooncakes (round pastries typically have a sweet or savory filling and intricate designs on their crusts) together.
When it comes to music, it will be songs that are sang during the festival will be referring to the moon or closely related to the moon.
First song that I would like to share is an all time classic.

Title: 月亮代表我的心, The Moon Represents My Heart
Information/Fun Facts about this song: Theresa Teng is not the first singer of this song, but upon her version is heard, the song went viral. There are different versions of this in various language including English, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, French and Russian.
Singer: 许美静 Mavis Hee
Title: 城里的月光, Moonlight In The City
Information/Fun Facts about this song: This song was the opening theme for Singapore's Drama Serial Toufu Street in 1995. This touching song after the drama series aired, allowed Mavis to shoot to stardom and lifted her music career to greater heights.
Singer: 萨顶顶 Sa Ding Ding and 周深 Charlie Zhou
Title: 左手指月, Left Hand Points to The Moon
Information/Fun Facts about this song: This song original singer is Sa Ding Ding, but when performed with Charlie Zhou, it added so much more dimensions to the already powerful original version by Sa Ding Ding herself. This song was selected to be performed at the 2020 Mid Autumn Festival Show in China. If you want to listen to a song that packs a punch and have dramatic depths in the music, do listen to this.
