PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 20 Jun 2024

Greetings to all, we are in the midst of a brawl for PIZZA 2 so I will be sharing what happened in the previous before this brawl is over. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts! Some new information had been shared after today's update. Looks like it's gonna be rough for a lot of small players.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my brawl fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. Started this not too long ago and I am still trying to understand more on the Rebellion cards. Without further ado, let's get started and see how the brawl went.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Armoured up, resurrection and cripple. For a match like this, my strategy to have a martyr card to significantly boost up my Oshannus and having the rest of the backline to support and a further 1 more resurrection from River Hellondale. Choice of Gladius is Isgald Vorst for the opportunity.
Outcome:	Win! A strong win with a crazy Oshannus formed by continuous martyr that is hard to handle, able to dodge and also do big damage to opponent.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Single ruleset, only neutrals. However, this is not a ruleset that I like to compete in due to my neutral cards still rather lean and will limit my choices, so typically when I do my selection, I take quite a while.
Outcome:	Win! It looks like my opponent have the same problem of not having enough neutral cards to fill a good lineup to compete. I will claim the win.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Resurrection ruleset. So I used my usual Martyr lineup to put the rat at the front to let Oshannus gain big and slowly chew my opponent up. I also added an Igor Darkspear to help with the attack front.
Outcome:	Lose. Initially I thought the game is for my taking, but I didn't realise my opponent had a card with Scavenge and opponent had a healer card. So with that my opponent outlast me and take out my Oshannus.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Cripple, Armoured Up and no heal. As usual, I planted my favourite Oshannus, reason being that armour has no effect on Oshannus and it has high enough health to sustain on cripple.
Outcome:	Win! 3 blast from Oshannus and the match is for our taking. Oshannus is still Mr reliable for my lineup, versatile and can be applied in numerous ruleset.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 4 matches this brawl and managed to win 3 of them. Also because of the lack of participation by some other guild, I am gifted with an additional 4 wins, bring my totoal win to 7. In the brawl, the matchup that I had which I lost I was duly impressed by my opponent's strategy to use the Scavenge and Weapons Training to overcome a match that I thought it is mine for the taking. Something for me to learn.

Yes, we landed at position 4 again. Wins still hovers in the 40+ range and unable breakthrough into the 50s where the position 3 guild is at. Our wins is still a notch below the position 3 guild which needs additional work to get more frays filled. But one thing is for sure, bulk of our members are doing real well in terms of the fighting and clocking high win rate. Good work everyone and keep fighting. Go PIZZA 2!
