PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 18 Jun 2024

Greetings to all, we are in the midst of a brawl for PIZZA 2 so I will be sharing what happened in the previous before this brawl is over. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts! Some new information had been shared after today's update. Looks like it's gonna be rough for a lot of small players.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my brawl fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. Started this not too long ago and I am still trying to understand more on the Rebellion cards. Without further ado, let's get started and see how the brawl went.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Corrosive Fog and Fog of War. On this kind of ruleset, I planned to capitalize Quora since backline will be safe and I also included a Venari Spellsmith in case opponent has a Gladius card that grew. Other cards in lineup are usual cards that I put.
Outcome:	Win! Quora still a very strong card and did a good job clearing opponent one by one to secure the win.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	4 cards, magic only and no healing. With this in mind, I fielded Quora and Magi of Chaos since there is no healing, I didn't choose Goblin Psychic, but my opponent did it. So let's see what the outcome will be.
Outcome:	Lost. While both side had almost the same setup, the timing that Quora grow is very critical and if against us, we will lose the match

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Blast, Melee Mayhem, Weak Magic. Some armour will be needed here. For me I deployed a double Gladius to capitalize on the melee mayhem and of course Thane Newsong to boost the attack with Queen Mycelia to give the team some armour.
Outcome:	Lose. Never under estimate the power of the Drybone Barbarian, the blast is super painful and with additional weapon trained cards, it made the match some much more advantageous to my opponent and my double Gladius missing the War Pegasus which made me lose the match.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	4 Cards, Scatter and no armour. With this in mind, the consideration is to sustain the front with something that has shield since there is no armour then use something that just scatter some magic damage. So with this, I used 2 cards to attempt with weapons training.
Outcome:	Win! This strategy is not bad, using very small cards and using Weapons training to give them further attack capabilities is really good and effective.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 4 matches this brawl and managed to only win 2 of them. Tough 2 matches with one overpowering me while the other is because of timing difference. Nevertheless, some reflection has to be made to see how to improve. Due to lack of participation from other guilds, I am given 4 extra wins.

Position 4 somehow is becoming the place where we always land for the guild and we are always hovering in the range of 40+ wins which is about 20 wins away from the top 3. So this is something that we are working on for more people to fill the frays to get more wins. Hope we can get more people and move into the podium. Keep growing and keep fighting. Go PIZZA 2!
