dCity Progress Update #14

Introduction
Good day to everyone, a week had passed in the city and it's time to update the progress of my city and the things that happen in the city. In today's post, I will do a sharing on another attribute of the game, creativity.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment. Did not add any new elements to the city for this week while I continue to grow in terms of SIM.

Unemployment currently remained at 1 while the search for new buildings to prepare for more young citizens getting into student and subsequently into the workforce is ongoing. I am actually hoping for more young citizens progressing into students so that the city can continue to grow.

Creativity
As mentioned at the start of the post, today I will looking at another attribute of the game, which is creativity.

While a city continue to grow in terms of income and technology, we also need to look at the aesthetics of the city and give time to appreciate the arts and beauty.

When I look at my city versus some of the other cities that I visited to take reference on how they are growing, I realized how boring my city look with just a plain blue background. And therefore, I started looking around on how to possibly get a background for my city which led me to looking into the creativity attribute.

Here is the formula for Creativity:
160 creativity = 1% chance to find a background or an animation daily, with a default cap at 25%.

And in order for us to be able to start discovering or getting background/animation, we will first need an Art Gallery, which has the following attributes:

To boost your creativity index, it can come from both structures and also citizens with a total of 41 cards that can boost your creativity score in order to discover the backgrounds and animation.

In many games, we do buy skins or decorations to make our characters or other aspects of the game look better, why not do the same for your city.

Do also note that there is also a Creativity leaderboard that allow you to earn some daily SIM if you build up some Creativity and the current base threshold for rewards is at 185 Creativity. So why not get some base creativity to get a chance to beautify your city and also earn some daily SIM?

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 141,747 SIM. Quite a decent increase as I continue to increase the holdings because of young citizen sales.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, my 30 day average is will likely see a few days of Sim Power increase. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.78 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day. At this moment, it look a little far-fetch, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.

Closing
There are many different paths to get some daily rewards for dCity, some go for outright income, some go for population or popularity, some might even go for education or creativity. There is just too many ways to play dCity and there is no right or wrong. Grow the city your way and make it your style.
