When Parenting Meets Teaching, Everything in Between. An Introductory of Myself.

Hello! I am Vanessa! you can call me “Vanny”. I am a teacher by profession and a mom of 2 wonderful children. As a hands-on mom, wife and full time teacher is kinda challenging but at the same time, fulfilling. The demand of our work sometimes gives me frustration and guilt but at the end of the day, i know that my purpose in life is much greater than what I can offer in this life. Why I joined Hive? I am glad to have found this platform where I could share my life either success stories or even failure. I want to look back on my post one day that i overcame every struggles that life gives me. I am onboarded by Antonette, we meet through facebook and oriented me how Hives works. This space will serve as my online journal where I will be sharing most of my hobbies, stories, life experiences, journey and even struggles. An outlet of my thoughts and serves as an inspiration when I come to read other’s blog about same stories, personal experiences as mine. I hope you’ll be learning a lot from me as much as I’m excited to learn more about you.

I am a teacher in a public school for 10 years! I became a mother at the age of 25 and when i enter the world of motherhood it became my priority. I love my job as a teacher because it is my passion to share my knowledge to the next generation but to put my family first at all times is my non-negotiable. Sometimes, I also think of my personal growth specially with my profession. I dreamed to graduate my Masters degree in Education at my early years of teaching but since my children came i have to set aside my personal goal for my kids and husband. I have no regrets with that because I know it will be worth it and it did. After 8 years of focusing on nurturing my 2 kids i have decided to continue and pursue my dream together with my husband that is also a teacher. As of this moment, we are still continuing our studies hand and hand juggling the responsibilities of being parent, teacher and student for our future. We are now graduating in Masters of Education Major in Educational Leadership and hopefully before this year end, we will finish and graduated.

I believe that when opportunity came and is truly for you, nothing can ever take that away. If it is God’s will, everything will fall to their proper places. Nothing is impossible with God, He know exactly the desire of our hearts and as long as we believe in him, putting our trust to him, He will make a way to conquer and to give what we need and what we prayed for.
