RENTING A HOUSE, THE CHALLENGES AND NECESSARY THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR.

I never had a need to rent a house , until my second year in school, when I decided to leave school hostel, I can vividly remember looking for an apartment from one location to another off campus, it was really a stressful one, it started with the problem I encountered with the first agent, the first agent I contacted took me to places I never thought of staying, places that were very distance from school environment, staying in a place close to school was my major look out, due to the cost of daily transportation.

I finally contacted a second agent that took me to an apartments that ticked my list and had what I was looking out for.
When it comes to looking for accommodations, these are the things I look out for;
Water, electricity, apartment must be close to work or school, I also consider my neighbors and their occupations.
Saying I'm looking out for my neighbors occupation, might sound weird and funny, but if you have ever lived in an environment that is occupied with people doing illegal activities, you would understand, the cautiousness, carefulness, lack of trust and lack of peace you get , which is extremely draining.

Back then I rented an apartment close to some reckless people, and it taught me to be very vigilant and careful with the kind of people in my neighborhood, before packing into a neighborhood.
Looking out for the people in the apartment, is very important to me.
Just imagine sharing balcony with smokers, you would definitely be a second hand smoker.
I finally resolved that issue with my caretaker and that was how it was controlled after incessant complains.

Also, while looking out for an apartment, it's important to look out for water, because water is something you use often and can't do without and it's very useful too.
Personally, I use alot of water daily and I can't imagine staying in an apartment without constant water.

I have stayed in an apartment without electricity, there was no light in the community I schooled, the lodge generator was a joke.
It was really difficult, I had to pay to charge and most times go to school, because the school had generator.
Living without light is really difficult, light is also very necessary, while searching for an apartment it's important to look out for electricity .

While looking for an apartment, it's very necessary to look out for security, your safety is paramount and should be considered always.
Security is my top and first concern is renting a house, staying in an apartment that you feel 100% safe is a big flex.
You can travel, stay out of the house and be rest assured that your properties are safe too .
I look out for security, before renting a particular apartment.

And, lastly is the lifestyle of my neighbors , this is very necessary to me, so I don't live close to a serial killer, murderer, chain smoker or a noisy person.
Before renting an apartment, it's one of the things I look out for, and that's because my peace is prescious to me.

It's very important to make enquires within the environment, if you are lucky enough to know a familiar face that stays around, ask questiond to get informed, so you don't make mistakes or make wrong decisions

Renting a house is really difficult and uneasy , and getting a good place gives you absolute peace and tranquility, so it is very necessary to you put in your best and stay patient while searching for an apartment to stay to avoid regrets.
