I've actually been binging on such information about it as I can find. I have realized myself that our consciousness is a collective contributed to by all the cells of our bodies, and also likely by various species that also inhabit the ecosystem our bodies are. While that idea wasn't new to me, the use of ion channels to interact with our consciousness as Levin has done floorjacked me. What an astounding discovery and new field(s) of biology that has opened up!

The sensing of bioelectrical intracellular communication, interacting via disrupting ion channels, and the results Levin has attained by these means is like a new testament being discovered by a sect in which I am a true believer. I yearn to understand this technology with the fury of 10k suns. This is an opportunity to better understand my insights into consciousness I had never imagined, nor remotely thought potential. I consider it comparable to a holy grail in terms of understanding consciousness, biology, and aspects of physics that have held that field back and caused misunderstanding of a variety of cosmological and other matters, such as the Hubble red shift, emergence of forces, matter, and spacetime from the vacuum pressure, and much more.

I am amazed at the close conformance of the nature of consciousness I have derived and the claims Levin has made based on the data his experiments have produced, such that our consciousness is a collective, may involve other species - and further his speculation that consciousness is not limited to living things. I have contended that because we have no way to detect consciousness directly, but can only detect animate creatures are conscious because they act and reveal they make conscious decisions, that we have no basis for claiming that rocks or other inanimate things aren't conscious. We just can't observe rocks acting in ways that demonstrate they make conscious decisions because of our nescience regarding what consciousness is, and that leads us to assume inanimate things have no consciousness.

On the contrary, not only may inanimate things be conscious, but consciousness may not be limited to things at all, and conscious beings unconnected to matter could exist. Our nescience regarding consciousness simply prevents us from making any experiments to demonstrate such things. Levin still doesn't interact with consciousness directly, and only interferes with it via ion channels in living cells as far as I have seen so far. While he has drawn similar insights to my own, he remains without any clue as to what consciousness is no less than anyone else. His discovery of how to indirectly interact via ion channels in cells is a stunning leap forwards, however, and creates whole new potential(s) to learn more about it.

Any information you can share will be useful to my inquiries into this revelation and Levin's work. I do intend to set up a lab, but have some basic production facilities I have begun to implement first, putting the horse in front of the cart so that I can support my research once I begin it, so the lab I had been planning may be dramatically different than what I had imagined would be most useful to my inquiries, based on this new field of information. More and better understanding would be very beneficial to me at this point in planning such expansion.
