RE: If there is hope

Without jackboots at their command there is only so much the EU can do to oppress it's member states. They've stretched their leash in Romania already, and if they don't work with Romanians then they'll be forced to work without them. I'll be surprised if that doesn't happen in good time, TBH. The Von der Leyen faction in Romania doesn't have very deep hooks into society that I see, and a few riots burning down offices of propagandists would cut them completely.
Not sure why that hasn't happened already.
Thanks!

Riots end badly for the little people. We've seen that several times in the past 35 years. Ever since the madness started, Georgescu repeatedly called on people to stay home and wait, especially during the most tense moments. We've had several protests, in broad daylight where there were small chances for things to turn violent. The only violence there's been was coordinated by the government through infiltrators, but those were fortunately minor. I believe Georgescu's strategy is coordinated with people in the American administration and it's working so far. He kept a very low profile these past few months, which only increased his appeal.
As for the Brussels faction, they're bloody desperate. It's almost funny to watch their struggle to hide the fact that the Trump administration wants nothing to do with them. They've managed to convince some Democrats to visit Bucharest and they're presented as "Trump emissaries".
Thanks for the insight!
Eventually you bury your enemies, or they bury you. You certainly know better than I the benefits and hazards of patience, timing, and international support regarding your country, and I don't pretend otherwise.
To tell you the truth - I don't really know this is a good plan. I can only hope it is.
