During the Covid era, I envied the freedom of Mexican civilians. Today Mexico has adopted digital biometric ID, and I expect this to be forced on the population with such diligence Mexicans will be stunned and surprised at the vehemence with which they are forced into compliance. I do not envy Mexicans now.
Soon agentic AI will be implemented globally, and the rules we are compelled to follow will be normalized across jurisdictions. Then you will no longer envy Americans' freedoms, because all civilians will be under the same rules everywhere.
If you can't restore your sovereignty there, we won't keep what we have left of it here.

I believe there's a difference between American and Mexican civilians! American civilians fought against the British crown and achieved independence on their own. However, Mexican civilians couldn't do the same.
I am a descendant of East Asians who lived as servants and slaves of great overlords for 3,000 years!
My ancestors were slaves, and I am one now!
I am currently bound by the shackles of the caste system!

Slaves want to be loyal to their overlords and receive their overlords' love, thus becoming privileged slaves!
So, I must watch over the slaves more carefully than the overlords!
I recommend you read about Emilio Zapata, and Pancho Villa. Mexico did achieve independence from colonial European powers, although it took longer.
You are sovereign. Your will is necessary for you to act, and no one but you can will yourself into action. You can be coerced, as you point out, but that does not compel your will to action as desired by overlords. Many people choose to comply, but they themselves must will themselves to act as their masters desire.
Because of this fact, slavery is a lie. It cannot exist, and human being cannot be property. They can be craven, and act as their masters desire, but they remain sovereign when they do. You are wise to watch the willing slave more carefully than overlords, because they are the source of overlords' power.
