David Hughes - Digital Weapons Coming to Bear on Humanity

Palantir and it's software systems in use on battlefields, corporate offices, and secret lairs under submarine volanoes around the world, are apparently taking on governance of the US under Trump. Peter Thiel has been said to be the elevator VP JD Vance rose to power in, putting $100's of millions into his campaigns for office, and clearly is coming along for the ride during Trump's second term.

David Hughes has done some deep research into Jacob Nordgardland's work on Agentic AI and how Palantir enables targets to be prioritized on the battlefield in Gaza and jurisdictions around the world for governments that seek their services. I found his analysis, about an hour long, to be prescient and insightful - and terrifying. The combination of data sources and cell phone surveillance fed into Palantir's Gotham software reduces governance to an AI algorithm, and citizens to slaves.

Mechanisms for extorting compliance with chosen narratives, medical mandates, the new rules civilian populations packed into 15 minute prisons will be required to follow, are automated and mostly comprise restrictions on fungibility of digital currency, ability to make purchases, expiration of funds availed inmates, and are varied granularly depending on social credit scores or other metrics desirable to people farmers. I encourage folks to pay close attention to his discussion of the methods of control and consequences for failure, the goals and narratives the automated overlords are going to impose, and how that will impact ourselves, our friends, and families much sooner than we imagine is possible.

Once in charge, AI moves a lot faster than Congressional committees and legislation, and it really doesn't require such things as it has CBDC programmability of digital currency, 24/7 video and audio surveillance of everyone with a cell phone, and desired outcomes plugged into the program to be implemented depending on the metrics each civilian component (people) presents. Mistakes will be made and people will die as AI hallucinates along while it lords over we plebs, but those are sacrifices Alex Karp and Peter Thiel will be willing to make to set the digital geofences that we will be herded into.

It will be good to remember that flocks fear wolves and predators the shepherd keeps at bay, but in the end it is the shepherd that kills and butchers them. I'm quite sure the model Thiel and Palantir will follow will allow no more humanity than the flocks are given to people they're going to manage. I'm old and senescing, but I can still make an emergency shelter in a thicket and hunt and forage with sticks and rocks for my supper, at least for a couple more years. Since phones are the tags in our ears that track our every move and listen in to our every conversation, I'll have to manage without communications if it comes to that.

But that is an easy choice to make for me, because I'd rather die in the woods than rot in a cell. What about you? City folks are probably facing compulsion, without experience or training in wilderness survival. Let me know what you think of what is coming according to David Hughes after you've considered what he has to say.
