Strolling through the streets of the historic city of the Asunción. [Eng/Esp]

Hello, beautiful Hive Margarita community!

I hope you are all well. Today I want to tell you about my incredible journey through the streets of La Asunción, capital of our state of Nueva Esparta, the historical jewel of our beautiful island.

I went in the afternoon, around 5 pm, for a meeting organised by @rlathulerie , one of the creators of this great community and whom I affectionately call boss. The meeting was organised to celebrate the creation and growth of the Hive Margarita community and to get to know each other in person. At this meeting, I took the opportunity to tour La Asunción and take photos of this great city and its beautiful streets.

For those who don't know, La Asunción is a city founded on 26 March 1562, a very old city with a lot of history, where great and famous figures from Venezuelan history walked. This city witnessed key moments in our country's history, such as the resistance against the pirates who arrived on our coasts and the great independence struggles that were fought in the name of freedom. This city preserves the memories of those times.

If you walk through these streets, the first thing you notice is that it retains a colonial atmosphere, expressed in its architecture and designs, both in the streets and in the houses and buildings, with a square in the style of the colonial era, which makes you think for a moment that you are in those times.

Bolívar Square, next to the square named after Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi, is the heart of the city, surrounded by buildings and structures that are emblematic of the state. Currently, its streets are adorned with beautiful and striking murals that tell the history of the island, celebrating Margarita culture and reflecting the history of those who came before us. This was a cultural initiative to transform La Asunción into a large art gallery.

Together with my friend @melan11e, we spent a long time walking the streets, taking photos, sharing laughter and marvelling at the beauty of the city. It is full of colours, lights and various establishments where you can eat and enjoy yourself, accompanied by music, sounds and a pleasant atmosphere for socialising. The city of La Asunción is an ideal place to spend time with its varied food establishments, and at night, people from all over the island gather there to relax, have fun and enjoy the beauty the city has to offer.

Asunción is a very popular place, so it is normal to see many people walking and admiring its streets, as well as tourists who are visiting the island for the first time and want to visit this city. In the past, large fairs were usually held, where everyone gathered and it was like a huge party in the streets.

We stayed until late at night, enjoying ourselves, eating and chatting, and when it was all over, everyone went home with a wonderful experience to tell.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les vengo a hablar de mi increíble recorrido por las calles de La Asunción, capital de nuestro estado Nueva Esparta, la joya histórica de nuestra bella isla.

Fui en la tarde, a eso de las 5 pm, para una reunión organizada por @rlathulerie, una de las creadoras de esta grandiosa comunidad y a la cual, de cariño, llamo jefa. Se organizó la reunión para celebrar la creación y el crecimiento de la comunidad de Hive Margarita y poder conocernos todos en persona. En esta reunión aproveché para recorrer la Asunción y tomar fotos de esta gran ciudad y sus hermosas calles.

Para quienes no lo sepan, La Asunción es una ciudad, fundada el 26 de marzo de 1562, una ciudad muy antigua y con mucha historia, donde caminaron grandes y célebres figuras de la historia venezolana. Esta ciudad fue testigo de momentos claves de la historia de nuestro país, como la resistencia contra los piratas que arribaban en nuestras costas y las grandes luchas independentistas que se libraron en nombre de la libertad. Esta ciudad conserva las memorias de esos tiempos.

Si recorres estas calles, lo primero que uno nota, es que conserva una atmósfera colonial, expresada en su arquitectura y diseños, tanto en las calles como las casas y edificios, con una plaza al estilo de la época colonial, que te hace pensar por un momento que estás en aquellos tiempos.

La plaza Bolívar, que está al lado de la plaza en honor a Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi, son el alma de la ciudad, rodeada por edificaciones y estructuras emblemáticas del estado. Actualmente, sus calles están adornadas por hermosos y llamativos murales que narran la historia de la isla, celebrando la cultura margarita y reflejando la historia de quienes estuvieron antes que nosotros. Esta fue una iniciativa cultural, para transformar a La Asunción, en una gran galería de arte.

Junto con mi amiga @melan11e, recorrimos un buen rato las calles, tomando fotos, compartiendo risas y asombrándonos por la belleza de la ciudad. Llena de colores, luces y diversos establecimientos, para comer y disfrutar un buen rato, acompañado de música, sonidos y un ambiente agradable para convivir. Pues la ciudad de la Asunción es un lugar ideal para el rato con sus variados establecimientos de comida, y de noche, las personas de toda la isla se reúnen allá para relajarse, divertirse y disfrutar de lo hermoso que tiene para ofrecer la ciudad.

La Asunción es un sitio muy visitado, por lo que es normal, que mucha gente esté caminando y contemplando sus calles, así como turistas que pisan por primera vez la isla y deseen visitar esta ciudad, por lo general, se solían hacer grandes ferias, donde todas las personas se reunían y era como una enorme fiesta en sus calles.

Nosotros estuvimos hasta entradas la noche, disfrutando el rato, comiendo y charlando y cuando todo se terminó, cada quien se fue a su casa, con una bonita experiencia que contar.
