🎄Shopping at the Río supermarket and a few mishaps🎁[Eng/Esp]

I hope you are all well. I haven't posted here for a while because of Christmas, which makes for very busy days with all the shopping and preparations for the holidays. That's why I had to go shopping in the afternoon; among the places I went to, I ended up at the Río Supermarket.

Río Supermarket is one of the largest and best-stocked supermarkets on the island, so you can find everything there. Since I had a lot of shopping to do, I expected to find everything I needed there. In the end, this didn't happen because there were items on my shopping list that Río didn't have, so I had to go to other places to get them. Even so, I found most of the things I needed, which were mainly the food items that will be used for the holidays.

The truth is that, although I arrived at Río early, around 2 p.m., I ended up leaving at almost 5 p.m. because it took me a long time to choose things and because I left home without having lunch, so I was very hungry and ended up having lunch at the café in Río.

I ordered rice, salad and ham, and although I didn't like the rice very much, the ham and salad were good. I ate there with my brother, who ordered pasta with sauce and pork. After we finished eating and resting, we continued shopping. He went to buy sweets and I went to buy the personal hygiene products we needed.

One thing I have to say is that the Río I went to wasn't as decorated for Christmas as I've seen in other establishments; they only had some inflatable Christmas figures and Christmas music playing.

Something funny happened to us when we had everything in the trolley and went to pay. While we were queuing, which was very short, there were some shelves with soft drinks behind me and suddenly one exploded behind me, moving frantically and filling the whole area with soft drinks. Luckily, I didn't get wet, but it was funny to see the faces of the workers looking for the person responsible among themselves, but no, the soft drink was already shaken and the pressure caused it to explode.

But as if the day of accidents wasn't over yet, a few minutes later, one of the workers who was pushing a trolley with soft drinks to restock ended up crashing into a shelf full of Pringles, which fell, broke and spilled all the pots, but the shelf could be put back in place because only something had come loose.

After that, we finished paying and went to the car, putting everything in carefully because we were with Luna and Babie, whom we had taken to the vet earlier, and since they are rowdy, we had to be careful that they didn't break anything. Otherwise, we got home and put everything in the cupboard to prepare for the following days.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hace rato que no he publicado por aquí por el tema de la Navidad, que hace que los días sean muy ajetreados al tener que salir, comprar y preparar todo para estas fechas. Y fue por esto mismo que tuve que ir en la tarde a hacer compras; entre los lugares que fui, llegué al Supermercado Río.

En el supermercado Río, al ser uno de los supermercados más grandes y abastecidos de la isla, se puede encontrar de todo y, ya que la compra sería grande, esperaba encontrar todo lo que necesitaba ahí. Cosa que al final no pasó porque había cosas en mis listas de compras que en Río no estaban, que tuve que hacerlas en otros sitios; aun así, encontré la mayoría de las cosas, que eran en general los alimentos que se usarán para estos días festivos.

La verdad es que, aunque llegué temprano a Río, a eso de las 2 de la tarde, terminé saliendo casi a las 5 porque me tardaba mucho en escoger las cosas y porque me vine de la casa sin haber almorzado, por lo que tenía mucha hambre y terminé almorzando en la cafetería que tiene Río.

De ahí pedí arroz, ensalada y pernil y, aunque el arroz no me gustó mucho, el pernil y la ensalada sí estaban buenas; ahí comí junto a mi hermano, quien pidió pasta con salsa y cochino. Y tras terminar de comer y reposar, continuamos haciendo las compras; él se fue a comprar dulces y yo a comprar los productos de higiene personal que faltaban.

Algo que tengo que decir es que el Río al que fui no estaba tan decorado al estilo navideño como he visto en otros establecimientos; tan solo tenían unos muñecos inflables de Navidad y música navideña sonando.

Y algo curioso que nos pasó es que cuando teníamos todo dentro del carrito y fuimos a pagar, mientras hacíamos la cola, la cual fue muy corta, detrás de mí había unos estantes con refrescos y de repente uno estalló detrás de mí, moviéndose frenéticamente y llenando toda el área de refrescos. Por suerte no me mojé, pero fue gracioso por la cara de los trabajadores buscando el responsable entre ellos, pero no, el refresco ya venía batido y por la presión terminó estallando.

Pero como el día de accidentes no parecía para minutos después, una de las trabajadoras que llevaba un carrito con refrescos para reponer se terminó estrellando contra una repisa llena de Pringles, repisa que se cayó, rompió y tiró todos los potes, pero la repisa se pudo volver a colocar porque solo se había soltado algo.

Después de eso, terminamos de pagar y nos fuimos al carro metiendo todo con cuidado porque íbamos con Luna y Babie, que antes llevamos al veterinario, y como son escandalosas, teníamos que tener cuidado de que no rompieran nada. De resto, llegamos a la casa para poner todo en la alacena para preparar todo para los días siguientes.
