Recommendation Mob Psycho 100, an anime gem: incredible battles, hilarious comedy, and life philosophies. [Eng/Esp]
Hello again, anime lovers!
I hope you are all well. Today I bring you a recommendation for an anime gem that I saw a long time ago and is simply incredible. I saw this anime when I was younger, it was shown on television, but only in the early hours of the morning. It was during a kind of "anime hour" on Cartoon Network, and that's where I saw Mob Psycho 100 for the first time.
I would stay up late watching it, even though I had classes the next day, because I loved the story and the characters. This anime is supernatural action with a tremendous and profound emotional exploration accompanied by an extravagant and insane comedy that made my sleepless hours worthwhile.
This story portrays the life of Shigeo Kageyama, nicknamed "Mob," a seemingly normal young student who hides a great and powerful secret: he is a psychic with devastating powers that could destroy everything. Fortunately for the world of Mob Psycho 100, Mob is a good person, aware of the enormous scope of his powers, so to avoid losing control, he represses his emotions to such an extent that it seems as if he has none... Unfortunately, as the series progresses, characters appear who inevitably cause Mob to reach the inevitable 100%, the point at which Mob changes radically and can no longer control his powers.

Mob meets Reigen Arataka, a charlatan and con artist who humorously pretends to be a powerful psychic (and everyone believes him), who ends up acting as a kind of mentor or 'life guide' to Mob. Reigen is a professional fraudster who uses his charisma to make people believe he is a great exorcist. The funny thing is that he solves supernatural problems with rather mundane solutions. He is one of the most complex characters in the plot, expressing humility, wisdom, and common sense in his thinking, despite his actions, thus acting as a mentor to Mob and an anchor on earth.
In each episode, together they will face challenges and confrontations, whether with evil spirits or psychics who want to subjugate the world. At the same time, each episode is a sequence leading up to the climax of the work, the countdown to an inevitable explosion: Mob reaching 100% and no longer being able to repress everything inside him.
In each episode, after battles, confrontations, and profound life lessons, Mob's emotional counter rises until it explodes, revealing Mob's true emotional and mental state.

This anime confronts you with ethical dilemmas, criticism of oneself as an individual, the exploration of identity, the "who am I without..." and personal growth. The story progresses and becomes more introspective, imbuing the episodes with the emotional baggage that Mob carries inside, as he explores his relationships with his family, Reigen, his school, friends, but above all, with himself.

The anime is, in itself, a kind of philosophical allegory, as if you were opening a book by Camus, Jung, or Nietzsche. But it does so in a splendid and harmonious way; it doesn't feel heavy or too light, it's simply a perfect sequence of philosophy, hilarious comedy, stunning visuals, and tremendous clashes and battles between psychics and spirits.
The animation style is a beautiful visual explosion, with a psychedelic and surreal style that changes radically in each scene to show the true face of the environment and the emotional state of the characters.

There are three seasons, making a total of 37 episodes, each one loaded with emotion and meaning, allowing you to see who Mob is and understand his character in depth. At the same time, it invites you to rethink ideas, without neglecting the comedy and epic battles. Mob could subjugate the world with his power. Why hasn't he taken that step? The answer lies in his life.
If you've made it this far, I hope you liked the recommendation and that you'll be inspired to watch this great anime!

This is an amazing review of why Mob Psycho 100 is good. I adore how you emphasize the dramatic battles as well as the heavy emotional developments of Mob. Your account of the mentorship of Reigen is so rich, it is humorous and yet meaningful, in that even the imperfect characters can have something to teach in life. I also like the fact that you do not make the philosophical undertones seem heavy, and the fact that the animation communicates the emotion is also such a nice touch. Surely makes me want to watch it again!
Thank you very much! I love this anime. In fact, everyone who has seen it loves it. Every episode is incredible. The only thing that saddens fans is that there are only 37 episodes. Many even asked for filler episodes. An interesting fact about this anime is that it is from the creator of One Punch-Man.
