NFTs | Creando mis primeros Tokens con estándares ERC ES|ENG
¡Hablemos de NFTs! ¿Sabes qué es un NFT?
NFT es la abreviación de "token no fungible", estos son un modo de activo digital único y exclusivo que se almacena en una Blockchain. A diferencia de las criptomonedas como Solana, Bitcoin, Hive o Ethereum (por ejemplo), que son intercambiables y fungibles, cada NFT es único y no se puede reemplazar por otro. Los NFT se utilizan a menudo para representar coleccionables digitales, como obras de arte, música, videos e incluso memes. Al ser tokens únicos, los NFT permiten a sus creadores y propietarios de estos activos digitales demostrar su autenticidad y propiedad exclusiva.

Un poco de contexto
Desde hace un tiempo, al estar involucrada en este mundo y saber diseñar, sentí atracción por la idea de crear mis propios NFTs, pero me quedaba siempre pensando en como debía explorar está relativamente nueva tecnología, no fue cuando al presentárseme un reto en el que tenía que crear mis propios NFts, que por fin me digne a hacerlo y aquí quiero no solo hablarles de NFTs como tal, sino también compartir mi experiencia personal creándolos.
Para empezar, necesitaba crear las obras de arte digitales que quería convertir en NFTs. Elegí tres imágenes que cree recientemente utilizando la IA integrada de Canva, en donde demuestro mi amor por el color morado, la feminidad y lo místico. En mi mente pensé que estas piezas serían una gran opción para crear NFTs por su estética soñadora y fuerte, además, al ser piezas "de práctica", quería que fueran bastante personales.
Una vez que seleccioné mis obras, me dedique a buscar una plataforma para crear mis NFTs. En el reto que les mencione más arriba nos dieron tres opciones, Thirdweb, OpenSea y Zora. Luego de investigar cada una de las páginas, opte por usar ThirdWeb, ¿mi razón?, ¡sencilla!, es uno de los mercados NFT más populares actualmente, su enfoque accesible y de uso práctico facilita la creación de los NFTs.
En este caso, para poder crear los NFTs en ThirdWeb de manera "gratuita", utilice la red Polygon Amoy, que es una red testnet (red de prueba) de Polygon, ya que en ella si hacemos unas faucets podemos recibir unos pocos MATICS (token nativo de Polygon) que serán suficientes para permitirnos hacer las transacciones correspondientes para crear los diversos tipos de token. Todo esto lo hice configurando la red en mi wallet de Metamask y escogiéndola como medio en Thirdweb.
Diferentes estándares de creación
Los estándares solicitados para crear los NFTs fueron los ERC20, ERC721 y ERC1155, estos estándares "ERC" son propios de la Blockchain Ethereum, fueron creados para definir y especificar estándares de manera que los tokens creados con los mismos tenga propiedades comunes y sean interoperables. De esta forma pueda rehusarse muchos componentes y herramientas.

Una grata experiencia
Les confieso que aunque crear los NFTs en sí fue un proceso relativamente simple, el llegar a esa simpleza no fue fácil por ser algo nuevo para mí, tener interrogantes y no contar en un inicio con los fondos para crearlos. Al ya saber como proceder, me di cuenta de que todo era realmente bastante sencillo, subí mis obras a ThirdWeb y completé algunos datos básicos sobre la pieza, como su título, descripción y etiquetas relevantes.
Para mí, de las partes más emocionantes de crear un NFT es la capacidad de agregar metadatos únicos al token. Este metadato puede incluir cosas como la historia de la obra de arte y la inspiración del autor. Una vez que mis NFTs estaban creados, los configure para que pudieran ser minteados, estableciendo así su usabilidad (incluso pude agregar el token ERC20 el cual denomine "VALTECH" y abrevie "VAL" a mi wallet de metamask).
En general, crear mis primeros NFTs fue una experiencia interesante, nutritiva y gratificante. Pude hacer algo nuevo, explorando una tecnología que llego para revolucionar la manera en la que comercializamos, creando a su paso oportunidades emocionantes. Sé que después de esto crearé más NFT en el futuro, tal vez incluso los cree en NFT Showroom (mercado de NFTs en la Blockchain Hive), ya que me gustaría adentrarme en las diferentes formas que existen para crear Tokens y NFTs.

Let's talk about NFTs! Do you know what an NFT is?
NFT is short for "non-fungible token", these are a unique and exclusive mode of digital asset that is stored on a Blockchain. Unlike cryptocurrencies such as Solana, Bitcoin, Hive or Ethereum (for example), which are exchangeable and fungible, each NFT is unique and cannot be replaced by another. NFTs are often used to represent digital collectibles, such as artwork, music, videos and even memes. As unique tokens, NFTs allow their creators and owners of these digital assets to prove their authenticity and exclusive ownership.

A little context
For a while now, being involved in this world and knowing how to design, I felt attracted by the idea of creating my own NFTs, but I was always thinking about how I should explore this relatively new technology, it was not when I was presented with a challenge in which I had to create my own NFts, that I finally dared to do it and here I want to not only talk about NFTs as such, but also share my personal experience creating them.
To begin with, I needed to create the digital artwork that I wanted to turn into NFTs. I chose three images that I recently created using Canva's built-in AI, where I demonstrate my love for the color purple, femininity and the mystical. In my mind I thought these pieces would be a great choice for creating NFTs because of their dreamy and strong aesthetic, plus, being "practice" pieces, I wanted them to be quite personal.
Once I had selected my pieces, I went in search of a platform to create my NFTs. In the challenge I mentioned above, we were given three options, Thirdweb, OpenSea and Zora. After researching each of the sites, I opted to use ThirdWeb, my reason? simple, it's one of the most popular NFT marketplaces today, its accessible and practical approach makes it easy to create NFTs.
In this case, in order to create the NFTs in ThirdWeb in a "free" way, I used the Polygon Amoy network, which is a testnet (test network) of Polygon, since in it if we make some faucets we can receive a few MATICS (Polygon native token) that will be enough to allow us to make the corresponding transactions to create the various types of tokens. I did all this by configuring the network in my Metamask wallet and choosing it as a medium in Thirdweb.
Different creation standards
The standards requested to create the NFTs were ERC20, ERC721 and ERC1155, these "ERC" standards are specific to the Ethereum Blockchain, they were created to define and specify standards so that the tokens created with them have common properties and are interoperable. In this way, many components and tools can be reused.
I confess that although creating the NFTs themselves was a relatively simple process, getting to that simplicity was not easy because it was something new to me, I had questions and I didn't have the funds to create them at the beginning. Once I knew how to proceed, I realized that everything was really pretty easy, I uploaded my pieces to ThirdWeb and filled in some basic information about the piece, such as its title, description and relevant tags.
For me, one of the most exciting parts of creating an NFT is the ability to add unique metadata to the token. This metadata can include things like the history of the artwork and the author's inspiration. Once my NFTs were created, I set them up so that they could be minted, thus establishing their usability (I was even able to add the ERC20 token which I named "VALTECH" and abbreviated "VAL" to my metamask wallet).
A Great Experience
Overall, creating my first NFTs was an interesting, nurturing and rewarding experience. I was able to do something new, exploring a technology that came to revolutionize the way we commerce, creating exciting opportunities along the way. I know that after this I will create more NFTs in the future, maybe even create them on NFT Showroom (NFT marketplace on the Blockchain Hive), as I would like to delve into the different ways that exist to create Tokens and NFTs.
