I really loved your review! You had me when you wrote about how Akira’s tale makes a zombie apocalypse sound like a party in freedom and life. Your comment on the work yourself to death culture and how the anime portrays grey corporate life vs colorful apocalypse makes me reevaluate it. It makes me want to live and be like Akira.
