To Watch and To Keep - Real Action Never Dies. A Super Super Short List.
These days i came across two titles that shouldn't be on the same list, but which, at the very least, have sparked the same crazy appetite for action. Both promise the kind of intensity that you feel physically, not just visually.
There are times when you know you've hit gold. It's not about the movies you like, but those cinematic creations that completely absorb you in the face of the era. I watch action to feel the discipline, the stakes and to see how the characters transform when pushed to the limit....that's what i think we all do, by no means just me personally - in addition to that desire to relax and i tend to think that i've found two titles that will deliver exactly that, each in its own way. I'm the kind of person who watches with a critical eye, but with a soul full of hope. Yep😁 i hope i won't be disappointed at all.
Last Samurai Standing: The miniseries who can keeps you hooked.
Yes, as this title might suggest, it's a 6-episode miniseries, not a full-length movie, but that's exactly what makes it more interesting. A historical drama on Netflix that takes the end of an era — when samurai no longer had masters, no longer had a role — and turns it into an organized survival massacre. It's a smart Battle Royale, with swords.
The trailer caught me right away because it doesn't show elegant combat, but desperate combat. I expect a production that will be tiring to watch in a good way – it won't let you breathe. Each episode will be full of suspense, with betrayals, broken alliances, and strategies at the limit. It's the kind of show that forces the characters to degrade mentally and physically for an absurdly high prize. It's going to be an hour and a half (or whatever the episode is) of pure psychological tension that inevitably ends in a brutal showdown. I can't wait for this binge to begin!
Samurai Fury: The Rebellion Waiting Story
This is a movie, in no case another series. It sounds like a classic, with the rebel rising up against a corrupt system. It's a movie that seems to have already been released in Japan and can't wait to be released globally (around October, apparently).
So, here i am. I've been waiting like a child for two movies that are not similar, but that both touch my heartstrings. Last Samurai Standing will give me the stakes and the psychological drama, forcing me to wonder what i would do to survive. Samurai Fury will give me the sharp, elegant, and effective action that i look for in a revenge movie.
These are two surefire tickets for epic action nights. I can't wait to see them released to the general public.....hmm!! there's nothing left to do but wait for the perfect moment to watch them.
