False Histories of the Supposed Gods Who Ruled the Ancient World. One of the legends of the world meant only to distort the reality of the supposed times - At least, from my side

False Histories of the Supposed Gods Who Ruled the Ancient World

The ancient world is full of myths and legends that shaped the beliefs and culture of different civilizations. From the Greek and Roman gods to the Egyptian and Mesopotamian divinities, mythology has played an essential role in explaining natural phenomena and in the structure of society. However, many of these stories have been turned into modern myths, sometimes intentionally, for the purposes of entertainment or cultural manipulation. Mostly these are fictitious or distorted by subsequent interpretations.

For example, Atlantis has captured the collective imagination since its first mention by Plato in the dialogues Timaeus and Critias. In Plato's view, Atlantis was an advanced civilization that disappeared into the sea in a sudden catastrophe. Over the centuries, the myth of Atlantis evolved, being reinterpreted and amplified in various ways, including the addition of mysterious gods who would have dominated and influenced the ancient world. These modern stories about the gods of Atlantis are fascinating, but often deviate from known historical and mythological facts. Let's explore what is fiction and what might just be attractive speculation.

For those familiar with modern Atlantean mythology, the gods of this civilization are often described as highly advanced beings capable of magic and technology incomprehensible to other cultures. For example, in some versions of the myth, these gods are said to be able to manipulate the natural elements, control the weather, and even influence people's destiny. However, these narratives are largely a modern construction and have no solid foundations in ancient sources.

Plato does not mention any specific "god" worshiped by Atlantis. Instead, it depicts an advanced and moral society, but with a corruption that led to its destruction. The addition of advanced gods capable of supernatural powers is largely a modern addition intended to enhance the story in a science fiction or fantasy context. This transformation reflects our desire to find fantastic explanations for unsolved mysteries.

In many modern stories, the gods of Atlantis are described as having magical and technological abilities far beyond what is known from other ancient mythologies. This concept is not only an extension of the myth of Atlantis, but also a combination of elements taken from other mythological and science fiction traditions.

For example, the idea that Atlantis had advanced technology similar to that depicted in "Space Warriors" or "Metal Demons" is influenced by modern literature and the popularization of the concept of advanced ancient civilizations in science fiction. That these "technologies" are often depicted as having mythological and magical roots is a way of integrating them into a framework that is familiar and attractive to contemporary audiences.

Aliens and Conspiracies: An Alternative View

Another popular but largely speculative interpretation is that the gods of Atlantis were actually aliens who came to Earth and influenced ancient civilizations. According to this theory, Atlantis was an outpost of an advanced alien race that had a profound impact on human development.

This idea is an extension of the ancient "ancient astronauts" theory and has no solid historical or archaeological support. While it is fascinating to speculate about the possible influence of aliens on human history, such theories are products of modern imagination rather than rigorous historical research.

In conclusion, the gods of Atlantis as depicted in modern literature and popular culture are largely a fantasy built upon an ancient myth. Plato described Atlantis as an advanced and corrupt civilization, but did not introduce any divine pantheon that directly influenced the world. Modern interpretations of the gods of Atlantis are often a combination of fiction, magic and technology, amplified to meet our desire for extraordinary and mysterious stories.

While these stories can be captivating and inspiring, they must be approached with discernment. The actual history of Atlantis is still a mystery, but our imaginations continue to explore the fascinating possibilities of what could have been.

Yes, they are fanciful, interesting ideas (a diversity of possibilities), but they are generally offered to the general public only to manipulate mentalities, in favor of predefined interests. At first glance, the interests seem to be purely speculative - the problem is that those ideas will distort the reality of some written events..... and they will continue as usual to be rewritten.
