Ghost Are Real | An Encounter

People do say Ghost are real but I never believe them, I'm like the doubting thomas of our generation, I really don't believe in the "they say" statement until I see it myself, right from my childhood days though, I always run away whenever it come to seeing dead people, I prefer hearing the stories than seeing them myself, and because of that anytime I was send on an errand at night and I noticed there is no light, I do run as fast as I can, I don't really know why but maybe I do imagine things. There was a time I followed my church captain to his village and we were walking along a path at night, I was hearing some awkward sound but he said to me, I shouldn't be afraid and I was like issokay.

When I entered the university, I was doing a side gig where I do play trumpet for undertakers and I studied a course where we do work on the dead in school, even with what I do see in the two place and what people at work do share at work made me start believing that ghost are real, there was a time they said someone died and they had to do the funeral, then during the procession after the church service, they saw the ghost walking with them, at times some will stop them on the way or prevent their vehicle from moving and all and they have to do some incantations or so before they can get the ghost out of their way.

I had my own experience too and to be honest, it was one of my scariest moment because I was scared to my bone, that day out youth church in school had a night music rehearsal which they decided to do in another church which wasn't far from my house so I decided to attend instead of staying at home we were there till 1am and instead of me to stay till dawn before going home, I decided to just go home straight and sleep, I was like why should I sleep on wooden chair when my bed is waiting for me at home, the comfort and all, and some people were leaving too but I was surprised no one followed my path, they went the other way so I started getting scared somehow but I was still adamant.

Immediately I step out and take some few steps, I have this I'm not walking alone feeling, I stopped, look around and I didn't see anyone, If i walk, the leg will walk, if I stop it will stop, ahhh, I look around again and I saw no one then suddenly my head started swelling, you know this state of excitement where you can feel your head growing bigger and bigger, and I once heard someone mentioned it during one of our work days as a sign if ghost you can see physically is around you. I don't know how to run but I ran that day and I couldn't shout for help because it was chasing me, ran all the way home, opened the gate with force because I told my sister not to lock it when I was leaving, closed it and ran inside. My sister was like who is chasing me, why did I ran inside, I was like a ghost and she started laughing because she didn't believe me. Since then I believe ghost are real and it isn't a joke
