We have learnt about the life of Jesus Christ in the Bible. The Bible tells us that his father, Joseph, was a carpenter. Being born into the family, Jesus Christ might have learnt carpentry. The early life of Jesus Christ was associated with carpentry.

Mark 6:3 (KJV) Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

The Jews knew Him as a carpenter. It was not really known among His kindred what his real occupation was. They only knew him as a carpenter. That was why Jesus could not perform miracles among His people. They were not familiar with Him as their Savior. They only thought of Him as a carpenter.

The way we know Jesus Christ in our lives will determine how much of His ministry will have an effect in our lives. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. There are still many sinners in the world who are not saved because they have not known Him as their Savior. So many people argue over Jesus Christ being the Son of God because they are taught in their own religion that Jesus is a prophet but not the Son of God.

Let us relate with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He is our Lord and Savior. He is the one whom God sent for the salvation of our souls. We should not just look at Jesus Christ as a mere religious leader. He was not a religious leader, he came for the redemption of our souls.
