The doctrines of Jesus Christ which we are learning in the church is our guiding light in the way we have to conduct ourselves in the church of God. The doctrines were given to us so that we will know how the members of the church will behave and do their various activities as it relates to the church. The church of the household of God. As the household of God, we are governed by the doctrines.

In the church, there are commandments. These commandments were given to us by God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who wants to serve God in the church must obey the doctrines. The Lord Jesus Christ taught us these doctrines God has given to Him. We know that Jesus Christ is our Teacher whom God has sent to teach us the doctrines of God.

There are voluntary actions in the church also. We use our own free will to do some things for God in the church. One of the voluntary actions in the church is giving if contributions. The giving of contributions is not under compulsion. The brethren are allowed to give to God according to what God has directed them in their hearts.
